Curry n Rice, pie mash liquor, noodles, pasta n sauce?

All viable options. I went to a ground in N.Ireland when I was living there and they were selling whole roast chickens lol like the hot food counter at Tesco.

I can never work out why football does not 'add value' to matchdays. e.g. On a Saturday the whole afternoon is based around the match, yet we only get entertained for 90 mins (if you can call it entertainment sometimes!), but why cant this be extended with say either pre match or post match entertainment (at extra cost). Say pre match entertainment ticket inc game, or post match entertainment ticket inc game or post match entertainment only ticket. Say disco, pub, quiz etc after the match? The new stadium could even include a casino with free entrance on a match day ticket with a meal at extra cost.

I love the way all these comments involve significant cost increases (better quality food, better quality garments to sell etc). But, having said that, the sole aim is to increase turnover not profit per the question, so the comments are valid. It'd be easier to sell £10 notes for a fiver? That'll surely increase turnover by at least 10%

Very true. The reason why the project we were doing was increasing turnover not profit was because the module was about increasing turnover without additional spend. When we did profit we were working based on a fictitious company with working capital whereas this was just a short exercise on existing businesses that have run into trouble (hence why I initially chose Southend). Each module has contained many different scenarios, it just so happens this particular one was essentially raising more cash without increasing spend.

And if no-one spotted it. The main problem with my original draft proposal was that I'd have to achieve at least 30% increase in attendance to just get back to the turnover point we started at, so would have needed my proposal to increase attendance by 40% which I deemed very unrealistic.

all this talk of food. gotta say was very sad at the demise of chips being sold at the ground. BUT love the pies this season, great alternative to the burgers. i'm a man of simple tastes

Not sure I agree with the pricing structure you outline. There are loads of unemployed late teens/early 20s and I don't think they should pay full price at all. I think I've seen a few clubs that do reduced tickets on production of evidence of JSA and I think I've seen some that do "young adult" prices, say, up to 20 years of age. You also need to have a concession ticket at the top end....Roots Hall seems to have more than its fair share of elder statesmen in the stands!

If your gonna do that for the tax dodgers and Kyle brigade why not incentivise them. Cheap ticket = cleaning the stadium at full time. Club can reduce cleaning expenditure and layabouts learn about work ethic?

No problem with that at all, might even send them out at half time with a fork....can't do any worse than what we have out there at the moment!

I'd be worried they'd start stealing metal though.

Forgot the consessions but I'd imagine that if I thought about it back when I wrote it I would have had concessions paying 7-17 age bracket prices
