Now, I've always been quick to defend the boy, but I wouldn't go this far!

According to Sky Sports News, the appalling spelt "Billy Painter" is a candidate for the PFA Award for October.

Who is it, own up?

*waits*

Right, well if no-one owns up, you'll have to stay after work until someone does. And I'm certainly not making any more virtual cookies.

Let's vote for him, if only to show the mighty power of the on-line SUFC community.

I was just searching the PFA website as i just saw that on SSN as well!

Surely that has to be a joke! I admire him as a player, certainlly not one of his critics, but WTF!

Someone on here was organising a campaign to get BP as October's winner.

Absolute joke.

If anyone votes for him you should be ashamed.
He's still one of ours, Smiffy.

Who knows, maybe this will be the confidence boost he needs!

I think that may be slightly down to me. Used to have the link in my signature and asked everyone on the PFA thread in the pub to vote for him, seems to have worked!

Well....I hope you're proud of yourself!

How would receiving a pointless award boost confidence ? If I won an award even though Id played about 35 minutes I would be embarrassed if anything.

I think it would be great for him to win it to show how pointless it is.

Well, I've voted, and next month I'm voting for Jay Smith.

Mind you, Ricketts is still there, could be a tempting vote

I couldn't give a flying **** who wins the award, it has no credibility whatsoever (unlike the Powerade award). The fact Paynter is up for it shows just what a laughable award it is - and it probably wouldn't boost his confidence at all as he'd surely know it was a p***-take. When Freddy won it last month it showed how much integrity the award has....for Billy to win it would be laughable

I've said it once and I'll say it again the award is an absolute total JOKE!
