Ha! That playground was brilliant. There were at least three games going on at once a lot of the time. Remember the middle 'pitch' where the goal was which had the target on? Near that coal heap by the bogs. Then alongside it by the field was another game and criss-crossing them both at the bike sheds end was a game going from the field up to the wall with the outline of a goal on it. Certainly improved your close control playing with a tennis ball. Those games of 'British Bulldog' there were a bit tasty too! :smile:

We used to play with the plastic moldmaster football didnt alf sting if they hit you on thr legs

Great picture from the lads,flags been at loads of away games it would ov been up in south africa world cup final if we would ov got there.It will be up on the wembley way right up near the top for the england v wales game.James loved going to watch england play.Japan germany world cups and portugul euros and many more countrys.

Spoke to lee sawyer today at training and he is a definate to be over and he will get some other players over to,had a word with mr sturrock and he said he will come to.Fingers crossed that southend play on the 4th of october in the johson paint round two.:heading::heading:

We hope the next game is on the tuesday 4th october fingers crossed,draw been made saturday.
 
Who ever wins tonight out of orient v dagenham will decide the fate of southend having the next round of thr johnson paint cup on the 4th we hope not the 5th of october on the same night as james game.

Im so glad daggers won because it will be a tuseday game ,with orient would ov been a wednesday,it must of been the penalty shoot done for james.We want loads of southend utd fans to come along this for james as he would ov been 21 this year. The 5th october 7 45 ko Eastwoobury lane,Southend.Southend ex Legends v Chemico fc weve had 4 great games with them,so put it in your diary please.
 
4th october tuesday is the daggers game thats great for james game is safe now but lost a couple of players maybe.
 
It would be great to see all the southend utd flags at james memorial match spread the word to those that have one,put them all round Eastwoodbury lane.would be a nice tribute for him.:footballer::footballer:
