Just see the story that Jimmy Kebe's trial has been ended but we expect to draft Zavon Hines in on trial.

Providing Hines can get back to full fitness, I think he'd be a great signing! Seem to remember him tearing us a new one when Daggers thumped us in the JPT a few years back. What does everyone think?

Kebe ends trial with Blues but another winger is set to arrive on trial

FORMER West Ham United winger Zavon Hines is to be handed a trial at Southend United, Echosport understands.

He was a good player but has had a lot of time out with injuries. No harm in trialling him and if over his injuries could be a good signing. A big if though.

Let's just make our way through all the injury prone has beens, we might get luck with one of them:blush:

I seem to remember him cheating and diving about all over the place when he was at Roots Hall. Having said that, when he played well, we just couldn't deal with him. Worth taking a look.

Thought this was a personal piece and my call to uncle Ron had finally been answered!! :'( :'(

Still I am old and injury prone so you never know..............................

Hines was a brilliant, brilliant footballer when he broke through at West Ham. It is hard to reconcile remembering that with how his career has panned out.

seem to remember him doping that and actually getting carded for diving when we played them away a couple years back

He's still only 27, positively young compared to some of our players. there was lots of noise about Forutne and he isn't turning out badly. As someone said earlier, let PB and co have a look and then let them decide what they want to do. Then, and only then squawk long and loud, yeah?.................

I nearly posted that at least you weren't as injury prone as MrB
