L2 playoff semi

Personally, I think it was outrageous to give these clubs pretty much a week's notice that they'd be playing a play off game. I cannot understand why they didn't work on the same basis as League One and at least give the players a chance of getting fit.
I have known about the League two play-offs for about 3 weeks?

The EFL only met on 9th June to agree the outcomes. The dates were only confirmed last week.
Maybe Kerry, but down here in the lovely South West, they had bits on the news about Swindon being promoted and the Cheltenham and Exeter players back in training 3 weeks ago. I think maybe officially it may have only been confirmed a week ago, but players have been training for a lot longer.

I think you’re correct. I could be wrong here, but I believe a few clubs went back into (non-contact) training around the end of May.

We were originally scheduled to go back on May 18th I believe, but didn’t for whatever reason.

I was at the game between these 2 teams in January— among a decent-sized crowd (which means it was at Exeter of course).Exeter were appreciably better-Colchester still embarrassingly poor and negative.

Having played them a month or so earlier in a 2-2 draw at our place, we knew they were a decent side, so we did what most promotion chasing teams do away to a serious contender and played for a draw!

Looking forward to the second leg tonight at Exeters ground. 5:15 kick off.

What would us Southend fans prefer...Colchester to get knocked out tonight and we laugh. Or we want them to get to the final and lose then so we can laugh really hard?

Half as much as they are laughing at us....

I don't understand why they've stuck Theo on the bench again, did he resume training later than the rest of the squad due to the loan extension having to be sorted and so isn't fit?
