Loanee Watch 2019/20

A short one this week.

Michael Klass played the last 3 minutes as second in the Conference Bromley held on for a 2-0 win. He managed to get booked in that short cameo.

Whilst Matt Rush warmed the bench at Roots Hall, Miles Mitchell-Nelson and Terrell Egbri both played for Harlow in their 1-1 draw at Marlow, which is nothing else produces a pleasing rhyme.

Midweek action - including big news from level 8

Level 5
In the Conference Michael Klass and Harry Seaden were on the bench for Bromley and Dagenham respectively. Klass came on after 78 minutes with Bromley 2-1 down at Woking (who had former loanees Jamar Loza and Glen Rea playing for them) but was unable to change the score and Woking move up to 4th, 2 points behind 3rd place Bromley.

Level 6
Harry Phillips was on the bench for Billericay in the FA Trophy. Billericay were knocked out due to a controversial late goal after Billericay had been denied a penalty at the other end.
No Tom Clifford, who extended his loan earlier in the month, for Concord - is he injured? He didn't play for the u23s either.

Level 8
Playing in the Velocity Trophy for Mark Bentley's Canvey Island, Freddy Eastwood scored his first ever senior goal, cutting inside and scoring from a tight angle. His good work on the left also set up Canvey's third in a 5-0 win. Canvey didn't score any more after he was the final player subbed for Canvey in the 57th minute.
Great Wakering v Hullbridge Sports should have seen Jon Benton v Sam Knock but I think both may be injured.

Level 5
In the conference Michael Klass was on the bench once more for high flying Bromley at home to Yeovil. He came on as a 92nd minute double substitution with them 1-0 up. 4 minutes later Yeovil equalised and it finished 1-1.
Harry Seaden was the reserve keeper for Peter Taylor's Dagenham who lost 1-0 at Chorley.

Level 6
Tom Clifford returned for Concord in the Conference South at Wealdstone but they lost 3-0, presumably the Wealdstone Raider will ascribe this to them having no fans.

Harry Phillips' Billericay weren't in action.

Level 7
O'Shane Stewart was back for Margate and was named amongst the subs but not needed as they won 3-0 at Horsham.

Level 8
Freddy Eastwood started for Canvey but was a double substitution made by Mark Bentley with them 3-0 down against Histon on 55 minutes. That ended up in the final score and Canvey remain in 13th.

Miles Mitchell-Nelson and Terrell Egbri started for Harlow at home to Northwood. Fourth placed Harlow were 2-0 down at ht and although they got one back shortly after the break but that was all they could muster.

No Ide Osimeh or Zac Pianim for 23rd placed Brentwood, nor Sam Knock for 16th place Hullbridge who both lost today.

Level 5
In the Conference Michael Klass and Harry Seaden were on the bench again for Bromley and Dagenham but neither were used. Former loanee Jake Cassidy started for Daggers' opponents Maidenhead and Jermaine McGlashan was on the bench for Bromley's opponent's Chesterfield. Bromley won 2-1 to move to second.

Level 6
Tom Clifford started for Concord. I wonder if he's regretting his loan move as he may have got the start today at the Memorial today instead of Taylor? Concord had a more enjoyable day though, winning 5-0.
No Harry Phillips for Billericay. Not sure if he's injured or completely out of favour with the new regime. His loan spell hasn't been a success.

Level 7
O'Shane Stewart was another on the bench for Margate's game v Worthing but he came on at half-time with them 2-0 and a man down and although they pulled one goal back the 10 men lost.

Level 8
Miles Mitchell-Nelson and Terrell Egbri both started for Harlow at Uxbridge but couldn't help them slipping to a 2-1 defeat. Since Matt Rush has been recalled they've been struggling and are in a 5 match winless run and out of the play-off places for the first time in a long while.

Freddy Eastwood was the only one to play midweek - he played 87 minutes and was back in the starting line-up again for their match against Heybridge Swifts. Canvey held on for a 3-2 away win and are in 12th.

Idi Osimeh and Zac Pinaim seem to have returned from Brentwood, although I did notice that former u23 player Renei Batlowka was playing for them (along with Jack Edwards, Marcus Milner, Anthony Furlonge, Tom Anderson and Abdu Salami!). Ryan Auger scored for their opponents.

Level 9
Theo Robinson came on as an 81st minute sub for non-league Col Ewe at home to Salford as the sheep botherers grabbed the only goal of the game in the 90th minute. They remain outside of the play-off places.

Level 5
Both Conference sides were in FA Trophy action.
Peter Taylor's Daggers gave a debut to Harry Seaden aginst fellow National League Sutton Utd. He was beaten once after the ball hit the bar and a scramble (sounds all too familiar) in a "competent debut" as the Daggers drew 1-1.
Michael Klass was given a start for Bromley against Dorking. He had an early shot from distance over the bar and was booked in the 34th minute before being subbed in the 73rd minute with Bromley 3-0 down to their 6th placed National League South opponents.

Level 6
Tom Clifford earlier this week extended his loan at Concord. He started in the 3-2 away win at Maidstone. Two goals in the last 10 minutes turned the match around for Concord who had been 2-0 down after 20 minutes.
No Harry Phillips again for BIllericay - I wonder if his short term loan is up? He may even have been sent back early as he doesn't appear to be in Jamie O'Hara's plans.

Level 7
Margate are in a spell of no games in 14 days so no chance of action for O'Shane Stewart.

Level 8
No Freddy Eastwood Jr for Canvey because of "an adminstrative issue"

Terrell Egbri and Miles Mitchell-Nelson again lined up for Harlow, this time at home to South Park. Harlow killed Kenny's hopes of an away win with a second half equaliser.

Brentwood's game was called off.

Harry Seaden started again in the Daggers’ FA Trophy replay. It was 1-1 after 90 minutes - Sutton’s goal a penalty - which meant extra time. Unfortunately Harry spilt the ball for Sutton to take the lead but two late goals saw the Daggers through.

HARRY Seaden is enjoying ‘priceless’ first team experience at Dagenham & Redbridge, according to Southend United’s academy manager Ricky Duncan.

Level 5
Harry Seaden and Michael Klass were back on the bench after their FA Trophy starts.

Level 6
Tom Clifford started once more for Concord, who won 1-0 at Dartford.

Level 7
No O'Shane Stewart for Margate: his loan appears to be up.

Level 8
No Freddy Eastwood - "administrative issues" keep him out.

Harlow weren't in action.

Basically same again, except it was Billericay that Concord beat (4-1 as well) and Harlow were back in action - MIles Mitchell-Nelson and Terrell Egbri both played in their 3-2 home defeat by Barking.

Went to Canvey v Hullbridge this afternoon. Feisty entertaining non league game. Hullbridge won 3-0, despite ending up with 10 men.
No sign of Freddy Eastwood junior for Canvey. Is he still out on loan?

Elsewhere, Tom Clifford played in another Concord win; Mitchell-Nelson and Egbri in another Harlow defeat. Mitchell-Nelson was booked as Harlow, without a win in 10, went from 1-0 up to lose 3-1.

In the Conference Harry Seaden and Michael Klass were in opposing dugouts but neither came on as Bromley beat Dagenham.

Level 5
Michael Klass came on at Notts County with Bromley 2-1 down and 6 minutes remaining. He was unable to help them draw level and that finished the final score.

Level 6
In the Conference South Tom Clifford played 75 minutes as Concord lost 2-0 at home to Hampton & Richmond.

Level 8
Isthmanian South Central Harlow picked up their first win in ages with Miles Mitchell-Nelson and Terrell Egbri both in the starting line-up for a 1-0 win v Staines.

Michael Klass got a run out tonight for Bromley in the K*nt Senior Cup against Gillingham.

Klass nearly scored first half from just inside the Gill’s half but his lob landed on the roof of the net.

Bromley lost 2-0.

SOUTHEND United manager Sol Campbell seems unlikely to recall Tom Clifford from his loan spell at Concord Rangers.
