Fair cop, music like football is a bit tribal. Tour De France did inspired Kraftwerk so she's all good with me.
My Mrs doesn't wanna plate me but shoes does have a Gene CD so that's me told twice!

**** off Radiohead went up their butts.

I think Radiohead are a bunch of c***s.

If Tom Yorke ever darkened the door of the Hoy and Helmet he wouldn't be 'In Rainbows'.

He'd be out in the carpark taking a severe beating.

Christ on a bike, got another bloomin decent indie band who in the last 11 years have argubly gotten better, even though their first album was amazing... Phoenix!!!

Brian Wilson is God.He says his best ever track was God only knows. But it's not.It was Good Vibrations.Or, Do it again.Or, In my room.Or, I get Around.Or, Fun,fun, fun.Or, Little Deuce Coup.Or, Surfin' USA.Or, Surfin' Sufari.Or, Barbera Ann.Or, Do you wanna dance?Or, Wouldn't it be nice.Or, Don't talk(put your head on my shoulder). In fact pretty much anything off Pet Sounds.

And his book "Wouldn't it be nice" left a lump in my throat, sad old story.

Napalm Death have been going since the 1981 and are still at the top of the game, must be quite unique in that they don't have a founding member left in the band aswell! Legends!

To me its the third Album which is the clincher.
If the first is well acclaimed , often the second is rushed fails to live up to expectation, the third is often the deal breaker.
The Jam put the magnificent all Mod Cons after the poorly received , this is the Modern world. and they went on to greatness,
But I have loads of Albums where the third is the last and least listened to.

One of my current likes are the Rifles and the third album was released this week, I am have the feeling they will not buck the trend

Works for The Manic Street Preachers, not for Oasis (1 & 2 good, 3 crap), nor Nirvana (1 average, 2 & 3 outstanding).

Did anyone watch BBC4 last night? They had 40 year anniversary of The Old Grey Whistle Test, all the bands / artists featured from the 70's. Some that had faded from memory, amongst others Vinegar Joe with Elkie Brooks, Captain Beefheart, Brinsley Schwarz, Patti Smith, David Bowie, Dr Feelgood, The Specials, and many others.

Great viewing.

Genesis could have gone on forever and it wouldn't have been long enough.

I've been a big Genesis fan ever since the release of their 1980 album, Duke. Before that, I really didn't understand any of their work. Too artsy, too intellectual. It was on Duke where, uh, Phil Collins' presence became more apparent. I think Invisible Touch was the group's undisputed masterpiece. It's an epic meditation on intangibility. At the same time, it deepens and enriches the meaning of the preceding three albums.

If you're talking about Ian Dury and the Blockheads - first album was Platinum, second was Gold. Third wasn't very good, and the last album they did until 1998.

But, if it's Ian Dury, his third album was New Boots and Panties, as he did 2 before with Kilburn and the High Roads...

Ice T's 2nd album was his most successful. I prefer his 4th. But his first five albums all went gold in the US. His second went Platinum.
