So what do we think?

Er, not Japan unless they covered it. It's Smokey Robinson and the Miracles, later a hit for The Supremes.

So, miracles and supremes..... must be a good omen for next season, regardless of our kit - which is OK-ish....

Actually I've just bothered to look it up and you're right, Japan did cover it. Maybe the tour is to Japan...?

I like the England style one where it's much more of a rounded collar with the few buttons. The ones in the Nike range have a full on collar and no buttons which when running just flap about and look untidy.

I wore one for my Sunday league side and hated it.

Indeed the two England shirts have small collars which is what I like.

Then again Im not sure how good they will look as casual wear with Insure and go splashed right across them anway.

Reckon Ill do what I normally do and just buy one of the polo shirts...

I thought this was a football site ........ sounds to me as if you lot have all gone a bit Gok Wan .......... as long as they put the ball in the onion bag, I couldn't give a Twiggy if they're wearing a plastic Mary Quant dress .........

..... hhhhmmmm, on second thoughts that might be quite a good look ................ :Scared2:

Looks like the kit we had a couple of years ago, so won't be buying one.

If the away strip looks good I'll probably buy that instead.

Do the club actually carry out any market research on what fans would like or do they just flick through the Nike brochure each year and randomly pick one? The kits seems to get steadily worse each year, I can only hope that the away kit saves the day.

Interesting point.

Despite all the noisy wailing and gnashing, of the 62 people not Barting themselves, 78% think it's okay (or better) while just 22% think it's horrible. I hardly think "It's okay" should be the target but, given the difficulty/impossibility of pleasing everyone and the different demographics of fans, it's not bad going.

I personally think it's a grower.

Looks ok on Straker in his "Ive just signed and am holding a scarf up " picture.

Like it more than I did now.

The crest was transparent home and away this year too ?

It's been transparent (with that cheap looking silver thread) since we had Nike as the kit maker. Last seasons home kit allowed the club crest (the most important part of the shirt) to show up more due to the white background. This has been a bug bear for me for a number of years now. If small company's such as Beaver 'coloured in' the club crest why the hell can't Nike............actually saying that I think we are one of the only clubs with nike teamwear that has a see through crest. All the others are bold and well stitched.

I think sponsership ruins all kits, would be reasonable for clubs to sell kits with and without some company name splashed across the front - could sell them cheaper for those that don't mind being a sandwich board advertisement and more expensive for those that just want a club shirt. That's what always puts me off.

That. Yes - that's the way it used to be.

Timlin looks well grumpy!

Has he just realised that he hasn't been paid?
On the subject of the shirt, I like it and will probably buy one and I do honestly think there are too many fashion police on this board, it's a football shirt FGS, not a Gok Wan exhibition.

Does the way that Timlin is standing tell us anything about whether he is still injured or not? I can't see any wooden struts holding him up or a wheelchair but you just can't tell nowadays - the use of airbrushing in the fashion industry is so widespread .......
