Oh dear....Nile's in trouble....again.

Nile Ranger...in court.
"Former Premier League striker Nile Ranger, 30, admits obstructing a police officer who pulled him over for drink driving on Christmas Eve

How desperate were we to bring him back ?‍♂️

I really hoped that becoming a Dad would make him grow up and become more responsible and that he could repay the genuine affection that some of us seemed to have for him, and the faith that Ron had put into him.

Seems not and now that is the door firmly slammed I hope, on any further chances with us.

I've been such a fan of Nile Ranger and defended him so much on here ....

But even I have to admit, letting him go is for the best.

Brilliant talent and based on that alone we would have been stupid not to sign him .... But! missing physio sessions completely .... come on man! :Headbang:

Looks like this can now be moved to ex -shrimpers thread .....again.

I suspect Jail is a place Ranger could be seeing a lot more of over the coming years, unless he mends his ways very rapidly.

I've read somewhere today the club have cut ties with him because he didn't show up for a physio appointment but I can't remember where that was.

NR is like a lot of people who seem to think they can just breeze through life without taking responsibility for there actions and thinking they can survive. Unfortunately NR is burning all the bridges and very soon the penny will drop but it will be to late and he will only have himself to blame no one else.

I defending the signing of him the first time and the second time.

Blokes just taken the ****ing ****! Obviously there is no helping some people. The bloke has just become a Dad you’d think he would grow up. He’s pathetic and doesn’t deserve the talent he has that so many would love to have even half of that. Just a waste!

The club have known since just after the offence. Nile didn't actually tell them for a few days tho. Probably dreaded it after all the 'I've changed my ways' and given up drink promises. I made a few comments on the Nile Ranger thread, then had to bite my tongue, and kept quiet. This is part of my 'You don't know the half of it' comment. To which I got shot down. Fans were desperate for this bad boy striker to come and score the goals we desperately needed. They were willing to believe that he had changed his ways. Another poster has alluded to Nile borrowing from some of the squad. Yes he is a lend me a few quid till the end of the month type. But I've heard he does pay back. Ron likes him, and even lent or gave him a car. I suspect Ron thought it best to keep quiet on his offence and this court case, and by then Nile may have scored those goals, performed good football for the team, and we go from there. But it hasn't turned out that way. So what happens to Nile Ranger now, we shall see. Me personally, I think he's a total wasted talent. He never learns, and doing bad stuff is in his blood. Really nice and fun guy to talk to. When that huge cheque clears, I fear the worst. I think it will be party time to the extreme. I just hope he buys a flat instead, to stop him blowing it.
He is a liability but I can’t help think that if he had not got injured some of them 0-0 games would have ended up 1-0 or better thus keeping us up
