The Banker is good, on the river and just been refurbished. We'll be heading there too.

I think you will find that The Banker is closed on Saturdays...as are many pubs in the city at weekends. A few of us will be at Ye Olde Watling on Watling Street (2 mins from Mansion House station). Great selection of beers and open from 12. Just a 5 min stroll to Cannon Street as well.

Is there a pub you can get to quickly from the ground or does anyone know if there is a bookies close where I can watch the grand national at 5:15?

Majority will be heading to Rose of Denmark near the stadium. Outdoor area to enjoy a beer in the sun

So where will most shrimpers be gathering Saturday got 13 of us coming via train. Looking for a good atmosphere before game,
May go from West Ham on DLR to Woolwich Arsenal which has a wetherspoons outside it then it's only 6 mins back on train to Charlton

Rose of Denmark sounds like its the main choice !

We're going to the Pilot too for lunch then getting the bus to Charlton. Will be a Southend invasion in south-east London.
