Ron provides another managerial update

Should he go with HL I am assuming that he would want to bring ALL his own back room staff and that includes physio etc so, where would that leave the existing staff?
Out of work he has interviews with previous managers who both didn’t last long

Ron needs to act ,If Adam to be the manager I have been informed that Millwall would consider him along with other candidates for the role they look at him as managerial prospect.

Adam is hoping what’s happened at Millwall doesn’t affect his chances of getting the job here. This is where he wants to be. We need to make the move. Now.

Updates been deleted, any reason why?
Last nights managerial update has been removed from socials and website

Very strange, I wonder why? Anyone have any ideas or conspiracy theories?

Here it is again in full

Ron Martin said:
In my brief statement on Monday I said that I would “hopefully this side of the weekend” be able to update you again.

They say that a week in politics is a long time and the same could certainly be said about football!

My ‘daytrip’ to Stockholm was successful insofar as I met Johan… I know supporters like to know who is potentially in the running for not only the management but also the manager's important backroom staff too.

Johan, should Henrik Larsson be appointed, would be a key member… but not the only potential member of that ‘backroom’.

There are two other potential managers in the frame to whom I am attracted but their identity need to be kept under wraps.

I am also meeting one more individual early tomorrow but then that’s it… no more interviews.

I have seen a great number of people over the last two to three weeks and equally shredded a great number of CV’s.

I plan to come to a decision over the weekend and then, subject to settling terms, I would hope that the club’s new manager will be in the hotseat (boiling in fact!) by next Saturday when we play Wimbledon.

When we do formally make that announcement over the coming days I plan to give supporters a bit more background as to the reasons behind some of the discussions held and my reasoning.

On another note, I met with the players prior to training this morning.

To, both, keep them in the loop and also share some thoughts about where we all are.

After all we are in this together, the players, me and the supporters… all I ever want is for everyone to be as one in support of our Club.

Together we can make a difference, divided is destructive… Let’s stay United.

We all recognise the talent and I thank you for maintaining your support of these players, they are good people.

Up the Blues!

Quite a steamy account from Ron. So, what did we learn? Well, smelling of expensive cologne, Ron "met Johan" on his gaytrip, sorry "daytrip" to sexually-liberated Sweden. Johan is being eyed by Henrik as "backroom staff" (is that a euphemism?). Ron sounds rather taken with the young, athletic Johan and he loves a backroom deal, but we also know that Ron is a bounder and a cad--not one to be tied down by a Scandinavian fling--so he spends the next day sipping Manhattans and reminiscing about good times from the mid-2000s scene with Stevie and Adam. That session lasts a good two and half hours. Ron prefers not to get it on with old flames but then, "there are always exceptions". Ron spends the rest of the week as dandy and flaneur, sashaying from club to club seeking to "recognise the talent". He's clearly got lucky once again and we hear that he's managed to arrange a rendezvous--via Grindr?--with a mysterious "fifth candidate". Sol? Or some 'rough trade' from the docks? But then "that will be it, no more". Plus de liasions. We will see Ron, we will see.
Going by your logic, why doesn't he just keep Waddock on the condition that he drops the 'r' from his first name?

9/11 is my favourite but for this thread lets stick to football

Rather than pay compensation for AB, why not wait until Millwall lose today and he then leaves by mutual consent sometime over the next 48hrs

For me coincidences raise red flags (see 9/11 for a bad one).....The timing of Harris choosing to step down in order to help AB is a good one.

I doubt millwall will rush an appointment after today's result.

I've always hated Leeds. Dislike them even more now.

We’ve had more statements than bloody wins this season. No more please Ron, make the appointment so we can put to bed all this uncertainty.

So often in football a caretaker manager does well then gets the job permanently. Especially in a situation where the previous manager leaves abruptly and wasn’t sacked, they didn’t have a replacement lined up. AB would have been a great appointment for us, but Ron’s shambolic protracted recruitment process for the role means we may well have lost him. As for revealing publicly that AB was interviewed the role, this is pretty poor as such things could be kept confidential as he is employed elsewhere. If any of us interviewed for a role the last thing we would want is our current employer to find out.

Won’t millwall be pretty p’d off with AB for coming for the interview without permission? Or will that have quickly gone with his sides performance today?
