Anyone supporting Martin has obviously never lent him money or supplied him with services.

Anyone who has worked for Ron would be doing their firm a gross Miss Service if they did not check up on Ron’s past dealings and his record of payments. Anyone with just a passing interest in Southend United knows that it is not easy getting paid for services rendered to this club. That is out there for all to see. Bearing this in mind and when signing a contract for work you would insist on certain guarantees. You would not start any major work until this financing was in place and you knew the money 100% guaranteed. There are many ways of doing this and any decent business would know how to go about it.
This scenario would also apply when working or starting any major work for any company.
On the next point.

If Martin wanted to sell or part sell his involvement then I am sure there would be plenty of people interested in taking over. Every club, including ours, has had various changes of ownership in their history. The problem as we all know is that Martin wants to hang on at all costs.

When a club is up for offer as you suggest you would approve of..I am guessing it will go to the highest bidder?
It could be absolutely anyone who wants the club for absolutely any purpose.

Ron won't leave until he gets his thirty pieces of silver. When he does you can be sure that he will leave the club with a mountain of debt. Claimimg that monies he put into the club (£100k a month) are owed to a number of his little tin-pot subsidiary companies. I've given up hope of a move to FF in the near future if at all. Sainsbury's don't come out of this too well either with the debacle of the proposed purchase of Prospects College. I can see them pulling the plug and cutting their losses over the whole sorry affair. For Ron Martin, it's just about the money so yes I do blame him.

With regards to point a)...you do not sound at all sure about the accuracy of the information..so in truth things are not neccesarily going on behind the scenes. You have just been told something.
That is really not the same thing.

Point b)..congratulations on a great site..is just a shame we all use it to argue! Cheers for the opportunity though!

Sorry to disappoint but if I said something like "X says he puts in £Y per month and A says " I put in £B per month and X is fibbing" what does that prove ?

I am sure there is plenty of talk out there..but until action comes from a person or people with real money...we can just concentrate on the football.
