Subaru follow Suzuki and withdraw from the WRC blaming the global economy blah blah blah. I think they blew it when the dropped the classic Impreza and replaced it with a Hyundai/Kia lookalike.
I loved the old shape, in fact I had two of them, but the new one really put me off, and I can honestly say I have not noticed a new WRX on the road.

Citroen seem to have done the same with the Saxo which seemed a very popular car but have replaced it with the C2 which is more in the KA category than the Fiesta/Corsa/Saxo.

Where do these firms do their market research?

interestingly enough, having been to the Race of Champions on Sunday, the new Ford Focus WRC looks the dogs!

Motorsport is going to get hit square in the nuts this year. We can already see that it isn't just rallying that is being cut down it's nearly every form of racing including karting which is my poison. I couldn't afford to race last year, and have no budget yet, for next year. so it looks like the wife will have to put up with the engine being in the dining room for another year. whoops.
The only good thing that comes out of it is that I take my kids to as many blues matches as I can.
