The U23s line-ups thread

I find this quite over the top over protective!

You can’t tell me that certain players couldn’t do with game time and that game time wouldn’t benefit the first team on Saturdays?

If footballers can’t play a game of football through fear of picking up injuries then we may as well all pack up and go home!!

It may be that Powell thinks issues need to be fixed on the training pitch and doesn't want them to miss that session?

SOUTHEND United’s under 23 team coach Kevin Maher felt his young players would have learnt lessons from their 4-1 defeat to AFC Wimbledon.

Would be nice to see Smith keep a clean sheet, especially with Kiernan and Lennon in front of him in the first half.

Good luck to Kiernan. Must be a day of very missed emotions for him, good and bad.

1-1

"Goal MK Dons! Ryan Harley!
Stunning technique on that goal from Ryan Harley! Asonganyi puts pressure in Tedd Smith who rushes his clearance, it falls to Harley who volleys first-time into the vacated net!"

2-2

Goal MK Dons. Stephen Walker.
This time Walker finds the back of the net. He collects the ball inside the box, drags onto his left and drops a shoulder before firing left-footed past Ted Smith.
