This is a local battle for local people

Oh, and one of the Pop Guns was from Benfleet if there are any jangle fans out there.

Understand, Neighbourhood Threat, Pheonix Trunk, Marnie, Codine, Foreheads In A Fishtank - all worth a mention from my era. Was a label called Sticky in Leigh on Sea that put out some stuff by great northern bands Meredith and Hood. Just having my own reminise, sorry.

At work the guy I sit next to is Terry Hall's son and he does accounts for Lee Harris and Paul Webb who I understood to both be from Benfleet and Mark Hollis isn't. Put me down for Talk Talk please as they are exceptional.

Squarepusher and Ceephax are brothers......has that been mentioned?

Kinda. :-)

Mcfly - Dougie Poynter born in Corringham.
Busted - James Bourne - Rochford.

Doesnt get bigger than them two.

Free Beer and Strippers, the lead guitarist was Ronnie Skates from Benfleet. Most of you would probably never have heard of them but with a name like that they performed to packed houses even if it was under false pretencies.

Braintree is not 56 miles from Southend!

33 or 56, still No Good...
