Nope, you stated that it is ok for fans to 'Show your unhappiness at the team'. I'm asking how that can be done?
Are you suggesting the whole team should be abused?

Nothing wrong with a boo of disapproval at the end of the match. That's not abusing the team that's showing your unhappiness. I moan about the players but I moan about them to my mates. Shouting abuse at them or abusing them in the car park is pathetic and why would anyone want to play for us when subjected to that?

Agreed,

I bet Straker cannot wait to play at the Hall with his hordes of admiring fans applauding his every move ,Yep he simply cannot wait.

To be honest I'm pretty sure some of the players would have been surprised if all they got after last nights result was a five second boo at the end of the match.
I didn't abuse the players last night and I didn't even boo at the final whistle and I rarely moan about our players as due to our financial problems this is the standard we have to accept.

I will however admit to shouting abuse at the team and individual players in our 5-0 defeat at Oxford in August 1996. But we were so poor that day pretty much all of our 600 or so away fans were outraged at the performance.

I sat in the East Yellows, in my ST seat and asked an individual why he was booing Smith everytime he touched the ball, what was he going to achieve by doing it? his response was to tell me to F**K Off and leave if i didnt like it. .

If that had been me, i would'nt have left when he gave his foul mouthed reply, l'd have been thrown out because i'd have decked the scroat.

Supporters support!,when things are going bad or a player is having a really sh*t time of it,I find a kind word and a laugh can sometimes help.Im afraid SUFC being SUFC and the state they are in with embargoes etc are not always going to play at their best and supporters have to accept this .Please fellas in the bad times is when the club and most of all THE PLAYERS! need your support , need some constructive criticism not abuse, a good word or two to settle them down. Only through this will Roots Hall once again become a fortress where opposing teams will not like to play.

You have a point, you should get yourself in the West Stand with the chaps against Fleetwood and show 'em how it's done.

We did'nt do too bad at Southampton and Doncaster 5 and 6 years ago.
Both away games though and nothing to play for. Challenge is to replicate that type of support at home. Last time I remember roots hall rocking was orient in the jpt. But that type of atmosphere and togetherness is rare. Before the orient game I really can't remember!

Its fairly accurate, once the board went up for injury time there were about 40 peolple left in there. As for the comment of children, the behaviour regardless of age is that of children, although the only people that dont see it are those very same people. Its not a conincedence that the same topics crop up regarding the W block / or as last season the North Bank. The behaviour of many and not all in that area is a disgrace. Do you condone the abuse towards smith and it wasnt only W block there were individuals in the East stand as well, but they were told to shut up.

If as you say you are an adult and a supporter of the team i would question your common sense if you go in that Block. If it was me, i wouldnt want to be assoociated with them. Im not alone in this arguement as you will be aware. It is a constant topic, not helped by the fact that Scott got thrown out last night.

I think you have totally misunderstood my comment, and clearly have not read my other posts on this subject earlier on this thread and on other threads or the positive feedback for my views . I have posted several times how disgusted I was by the abuse, so your point makes no sense what so ever . As to the behaviour, I am agreeing with you , that's why I said it was an accurate comment- that's why it hurt so much, to be tarred with the same brush as those dishing out the abuse. Why do I stand in W---- why shouldn't I stand there? I do it as I prefer to stand and sing. I start of positive charts , I am trying to be part of the solution, not giving up as others do. If more who felt like me were in W there would be less of an issue...ps I was one of the 40 left that clapped the team

I too was 1 of the 40 or so left at the end of the game, during the game I was actively shouting for the abuse to stop and was shouted down by "the lynch mob " that obviously have it in for Smith regardless of performance.
I like W block and the atmosphere it can generate, I whole heartedly support the ideals of the Blue Voice, but this kind of "support" is not needed or acceptable, I do not for 1 moment blame the Blue Voice organisers for tuesday nights episode, but if you are going to bring a drum into the ground to help create a vocal support, the person in charge of said drum should be a responsible supporter, and should not be a party to personal victimisation/abuse of one of our own players.

I would just like to add to the debate about Trueblues removal. I heard he was warned on numerous occasions but obviously did not take the hint, and I think he was mainly thrown out for abusing a steward, possibly the poor chap who has to sit at the front of block w. I am sure Trueblue knows in his heart that he was not harshly treated and was given opportunities to behave but did not listen to 'advice' from the stewards.
Maybe alcohol came into the equation???

I would add regarding Scott (Sumo) from afar i always thought he was abit of a d**k but having sat abit nearer and spoke to him he is actually a nice lad sometimes emotions spill over but thats football right? i for one was fuming when we conceded the 5th all that in a short space of time 9 mins earlier we was happy we was 2-1 lol

3 too many!

Banned perhaps?

What world do you live in? Glad you aint in charge of anything.

I think the main point is abuse of the players,The silly name calling and downright oafish behaviour should not be tolerated in 2013!

Please could you start a campaign to stop abuse in the work place? As I go home daily and cry after the abuse I get.

Those things don't just happen they are caused by people losing their self discipline probably fuelled by booze or worse.

Again I bring your attention to Stockport away a few years back!

As I said in a previous post some people only see the bad in others

As a pal I will be blunt .................Sort yourself out then x

I am actually somewhat impressed that some of you seem to be disproving Darwin's theory of evolution. Give yourself a big pat on the back......

....with your feet.

Doncaster was the 1st leg of a playoff semi final! Hardly nothing to play for!

Southampton was just the end of a great season of adventure that we all expected to end in relegation after two successive promotions.

The majority of fans are sick of the antics from the tiny minority.

Laws are already in place.

I have no idea what you are talking about.

This however I do agree with.

If it had been the first leg, they'd have been plenty to play for. Damage limitation for the home leg.
