Didn't manage to get to the game yesterday and instead had to spend the afternoon in a pub watching (with no sound) Jeff Stelling on score centre. No reports of any sort were forthcoming from representatives at the game and I was basically crapping it. Must have been terrible company before the goal let alone after it.

Anyway, the point of the post. How tired were the players looking after this game? I've watched a lot of games lately home and away and noticed at Cambridge there was no trace of tiredness. All the players (short of Gower) seemed to have a comfortable 90 minutes in their legs and they seemed to be cruising to promotion.

Suddenly, we have that damn trip to Cardiff and since then, the palyers have looked physically and mentally jaded whilst fans have become downbeat and anxious.

When I saw us against Orient, we, for the first time, looked like a team that had played well over 50 games. Same story at Oxford in the first half. I honestly feel that if we could have equalised or won at Oxford, the morale would be flying again and hoped that it would have been after Macc but something went badly wrong.

I've no idea how Tilly's going to pick the players up for Grimsby let alone the potential playoffs. I'm also struggling to lift myself for the last day of the season but the ticket's bought now so I'll go there and give it my best but the idea of tripping over the final hurdle and stumbling over the line 4th feels like it will be the end of the road for us this year.

Sorry for the slightly depressing post but this is my current mood at the moment!

The players looked devastated after it, notably Flahavan, Maher and a couple of others just crumpled to a heap and sat on the pitch for a couple of minutes straight after the final whistle. They didn't look tired so much, although the sheer disappointment could've hidden that.

You're not tired when you are winning. Its as simple as that.
