Tommy Robinson

As you seem incapable of doing a little bit of a research, I did a bit of a google search. Took me about 10 seconds. Here is some stuff for you to read (or get someone to read to you).

https://resistinghate.org/tommy-robinson-and-his-hate-tweets/ there are some here, plus a lovely picture of your Hero assaulting someone.

https://twitter.com/hashtag/tommyrobinson?lang=en - the sort of people that support Tommy Robinson. I think this tweet makes a good point "A Jewish Auschwitz survivor was called Antisemitic at the same time #tommyrobinson appeared as a Christ tattoo. We are at the lowest point of manufactured consent and intellect right now. " (that's the same "intellect" you are signing up to, btw)

This one, https://www.indy100.com/article/tom...us-tweet-about-pegida-and-the-edl--WkNkU96gal, show show the "intellect" of the man.

that's 100% conclusive and 0% news - it amazes me that people are genuinely unaware that he is a racist thug

Yeah, yeah, we've seen you ask that before. Maybe we've collectively had enough of you attempting to swerve the debate from whatever it is your trying to defend.

So is Sarah Champion, as you wrongly put it, a racist ...….Or how about Douglas Murray?

Just to round this off - I assume no one is now going to pretend 'Robinson' is not racist but if anyone wants to pick up on that discussion please read this first. Thanks.

So you are saying Corbyn shouldn't have shared a platform with a holocaust survivor?

CORBYN NON PLATFORMS BRAVE HOLOCAUST SURVIVOR, screams the Daily ****rage. You can imagine, can't you.

No I haven't said that, I'm saying that Corbyn shouldn't share a platform form with those that have deplorable views.

Bad press never worried Corbyn before, why should it now.

the Times front page revelation that was then taken on by Newsnight (at short notice and they didn't bother to verify details, just jump on the bandwagon) which we are all expected to be up in arms about was 8 years ago and various people claiming to be appalled were actually in the full meeting whereas Corbyn gave an introduction and then left. The meeting was titled 'Never Again - For Anyone' and had speakers from various different communities who had suffered oppression. The person who likened Israeli policy to that of the Nazi's was Hajo Meyer who was a survivor of Auschwitz. Mr Meyer is now dead so can't clarify his words.

But that is the Murdoch press - smearing a dead Auschwitz survivor as a way to get at Corbyn.

Last night #WeAreCorbyn was tweeted 271,000 times by people who want to show their support and are sick to the back teeth of having to unpick every damn news story to get to the truth.

Nothing to do with 'Tommy Robinson' of course but everyone is obsessed with Corbyn.

With all due respect are you ever going to stop making excuses for Corbyn?

I guess not.

How does he know he had "deplorable" views? The Leader of Jewish Labour was also there...... and its taken 8 years EIGHT YEARS for this to become an issue. Jeezuz, we could negotiate a trade deal in that time.

The thing about the press is that is clearly a smear campaign. We don't hear about the islamophobes in the Tory Party. The other Jeremy seemed to get away with confusing his wife's nationality in front of one of those nations leaders. Boris gets away with making offensive comments in Thailand whilst representing his country. Plenty of stories of Tories doing and saying utterly deplorable things. What exactly are the press and those they support so scared of?

It's a strange world where Corbyn, a man who spent most of his life rallying against racism and bigotry is being tarred as an anti semite whereas Tommy Robinson, a man who has spent most of his life rallying against muslims is seen as a working class hero.

With all due respect what I have written is factual and the way it was reported in The Times and then others ran with it was deliberately misleading. Feel free to point out anything that I have written on this that is incorrect.

So Robinson speaks and he is politically incorrect? I know of him but have never taken the time to follow his 'preachings/beliefs.' If he is inflammatory or given to incite violence then he should try and modify his language to support a more democratic way of bringing about the changes he desires. If the majority adopt his view that's fine. If not then his views are not mainstream and he has to accept the will of the people.
I support his right to have his views even though, and my knowledge of them is limited, I do not agree with him.
Political correctness appears to be a movement that has been embraced more so by the Brits than in many other countries. Indeed, for me, it has been taken to a fanatical extreme and is, by design, repressive and probably the single biggest problem that prevents progress.
Just as religion stifled science for centuries and kept us in the dark ages, political correctness, stifles debate and drives people's feelings and views underground.
We need to be able to debate, whatever the subject, without being labelled as racist or sexist etc and without the PC brigade inferring that their view is the only view that can be heard.

Fantastic post. Maybe if people weren’t afraid of being labelled racist whenever they voiced a concern then the likes of Tommy Robinson wouldn’t have any platform at all. Freedom of speech and democracy were hard fought for and you mess with them at your peril.
