Not heard anything just yet.

However, the longer this petition hangs over us coupled with the failure to complete the sale of the club. The more likely it becomes that we will lose some key assets either on or off the field of play. That is the harsh reality. Vultures will be circling...again...

Any idea when the retained list is due to be released?

We didn’t officially release one last season, and with a cloud hanging over the club in terms of the takeover, we might not see one. As long as the National League get one by the end of May, then that’s all that matters.

Players have had their end of season meetings. Things may or may not change for certain players once the takeover is announced, I’m not sure.

Like everything else with this Club at the moment, the takeover, season ticket sales, pre-season friendly announcements (we have some arranged already), upgrades to the stadium etc, it’s a waiting game.

Any of our players in their later 20's who get interest from EFL clubs would be foolish not to be interested. Its a short career and they'd naturally want to play as high as they can, while they can. As for Maher, unless he's offered stupid money and a long contract I'd be surprised if he'd go to Gills. He's building something here and has already got Legend status & is loved by everyone. Would have to be a bigger club then them to tempt him you'd think.

The names of people allegedly leaving are mostly under contract for two years. Unless we stop paying players surely we should start next season with a strong squad irrespective of incomings. If we stop paying them we’ve an existential problem.

My worry is the longer this goes on with the takeover the amount of players we will miss out on. I'm hoping Worthing lose against Braintree and we go for Pearce as quickly as possible. I'd take Cardwell, Waldron, Pearce and Mccallum to fire us out of this division

It’ll be very hard keeping those four strikers happy, not playing every game.
