Question What is making you happy today?

I'd presume West Country more expensive than Norfolk or Suffolk (?), but usually few degrees warmer in winter months, although always seem to experience winter storms & floods!.
As for Wales, some lovely places, but watch the weather forecast & it seems to rain more ( like Scotland ) than the other areas you mentioned?.
I’d say prices are heavily dependent on the location and type of property required but still some good value properties to be found in the West and Norfolk / Suffolk borders that aren’t over-priced rubbish builds.

Agreed. I kind of want to get away from that. Essex has lovely parts. But lots of these over priced new estates. Same all over the south east I’m sure. The region is over priced and too intense for me.

Crickhowell, on edge of Brecon Beacons has most of what I would want in Wales.

Mrs RHB is making the Christmas Puddings and cake today. The cooking aromas that are filling the house at the moment are absolutely fabulous. Up there with the smell of freshly baked bread or freshly brewed coffee on my list of favourite food smells.
Now you are teasing me! I can "smell" and almost taste these things in my mind but this lingering covid aftermath equals little actual sensation of either sense.

Cake's out after 3 hours, puddings still steaming. The cake will now be allowed to darken down a bit and be fed with more brandy before finally getting decorated. Smart meter running on overdrive!

For the last week I've been whistling a tune I picked up from sonewhere. My wife asked what it was from and I was stumped. Since then I've been racking my brains as to what it might be. I even tried whistling it into Google Assist to see if it could identify it.

Finally worked out the tune. It was from one if my children's TV programmes, Tiny Wonders on CBBC. Finally solved and I can now continue whistling it and know what I'm whistling.
