Ron will act when Ron's ready @palexander . We have a game on Tuesday so he may get that out of the way before his next steps, although someone did say that he's still out of the country on holiday so maybe he doesn't know the result yet if he hasn't got internet or mobile access..........................can't believe I've just typed that load of bollocks!!

I can, you’ve got form..?

I have thought long and hard and I'm going for Phil Parkinson as well. He knows the standard of football. He knows what it takes. He's meant to be a good tactician. He knows the players in these Leagues. He won't stand on the touchline looking lost. He will be giving instructions. Also, I heard him talk on a football show about Bolton's mess. He was excellent. The sort of bloke you would respect.

**** knows how with a performance like that. He’s hardly captaining Spain. Australia only have to beat Fiji to qualify for a Workd Cup!!!
Australia play in the Asia Zone not in Oceania , have to defeat Japan , south Korea , Iran and may other decent Asian countries to qualify for word cup.

Australia were the last side to qualify for the 2018 World Cup from this group by winning an inter federation play off against Honduras. Japan, Iran, Saudi Arabia and South Korea were winners or runners up in their groups and qualified automatically. Australia finished third in the final group stages and then had to play off against Syria to get to the Honduras game. A very hard struggle and an indication of the current standard of Australian football.

Has Simon Cox got the necessary badges yet? I know he had been doing them. Could be an interim measure until successor can be found - and three or four wins on the bounce could secure him the job until end of season. Be like going back to the 1980's having a Player Manager!

He must have at least 3. How not to work with other forwards. How to be divisive and how to sulk if you don't get your own way.

A couple of us were having a chat with Dave Crown last Tuesday. He was talking about when Dave Webb made him play out wide a one stage, which he wasn't happy about it. Not that he would have dared sulked under Webby, as his two goals at Peterborough to win us promotion proved.

Please note Mr Crown was not slagging Cox. My views are based over a number of seasons and it started over Ranger.

Oh for a David Webb right now. In my opinion still the best man manager we have had - certainly in my lifetime - and remember worked for someone who makes our current chairman look like a saint.

I didn't know that but rather suspected that might be the case re Cox - poacher turns gamekeeper would be interesting dynamic though.

He hasn't poached since Pompey at home. I have found in life if you don't like your boss. Then do a good job first and you can then point out where and why they are doing things wrong....Unless of course they are a woman.

Unless of course your boss is hindering you massively thus not allowing you to do your job to the best of your ability.

Sounds like a lame excuse for a p*** poor performance to me. Those player weren't just turning their backs on Bond....They were turning their backs on the fans.

I don't know your work background but you have hinted about bosses having cosy, lets hear all your views, chats with staff.....It doesn't work in Football. In fact it doesn't work in any job that involves team work or professions that involve crossing the white line.

Of course....then if thats the case you are perfectly at liberty to down tools, not train, undermine the boss, do a different job to the one that’s been asked and generally make life harder than it needs to be...

Of course though, I’m not suggesting for one minute anyone has done that....

That's the best Rochdale match report I have seen so far.

Just throwing it out there .................

Maybe Ron has been on holiday in Sandbanks , trying to woo Harry Redknapp to come back to Roots Hall as manager , with Kevin Bond probably happy to step away from the firing line and revert to number 2 + head coach.

Then Harry can work his magic , Southend can get their " greatest fan " back from those final 6 games last season , Ron doesnt have to fire Kev , and if Harry falls in love with us again then maybe he can help finance this stadium once and for all.

If nothing else , the interviews will be far more engaging and people might have a smile on their faces around the place again.

I'd reel that back in quicksmart if I was you!

I've always thought Adam would be manager of Southend at some time. For me he has all the attributes, knowledge, experience personality etc. I do fear it's a little early but as they say you never regret what you've done, you regret what you haven't done. My guess is Tilly has already given him a low down on the job ahead. His verdict will no doubt be, some decent players, no system they can play effectively to and rock bottom confidence. Best of luck to whoever gets the job. They are going to need it.
