My exact thoughts when I saw that he signed for Vale. Will’s work rate was outstanding, exactly the type of midfielder we are missing

The amount of times that I and several others alluded to exactly this situation in the final 12-18 months of Phil Brown’s tenure, and got shouted down everytime. That dressing room at that point was a mess. Nothing like what we have experienced this season of course, but certainly the start of the rot setting in.

A club would have to be employing him for him to be able to “resign”.He did once re-sign for Mansfield,but they and Port Vale have now got rid of him and it’s very difficult to imagine any other League 2 club having any interest at all in a player,nearly 32,whose only real attribute was running around a lot.
