Winding Up Petitions

So we would have received circa:

1 million + on season card sales
1.7 million from the league and tv rights
About 200k from sponsorship
About 500k from the sale of Dru

How are not able to pay out bills. We hardly signed world beaters and got the likes of kightly and Turner of the wage bill.

FWIW we almost certainly had to pay to get Kightly off the wage bill. That probably doesn't become a saving until later in the season.

It's unlikely that we'll have received the Dru or league and TV rights money up front.
I believe season card sales have already been borrowed against - to pay for the likes of Kightly and Turner and Anton Ferdinand's wages - and will be going to out creditors.

Well I’m shocked that Dru only went for 500k. He should have been worth more than that.

Ron calls himself a business man but all he does is shift his companies money about . Truth be told he’s probably skint or he is looking after his pension pot.

We need a New Chairman who’s heart is in football
We need a New Chairman who is honest and trustworthy.
Then we may get a Manager who can motivate the players and pay them.

I’m not buying a Season ticket this season .... I’ve been a loyal fan for 60 years since I was a boy and never have I been so disappointed.

Blimey. It may not be on point at the moment, as far as the plan is concerned, but you’ve never been more disappointed in the last 60 years?! Where were you for that turgid 3-0 home defeat to Halifax for a start?

500K for Dru is good business based on last season, as for replacing Ron who do you have in mind that is willing to write off at least £20,000,000 to keep us in the same state we are now let alone spending more to improve?

Unfortunately what is happening now is nothing new. A few decent seasons is always followed by a disastrous one, this is what we do. It is painful, everyone is hurting but it is inevitable. Suffer the pain, it will go away and we will enjoy life again. I am grateful that our beloved team is still alive. COYBB

According to info from Companies House, Geoffrey King's appointment as a director was terminated on 18th September. Any conclusions, guesses or forecasts re the significance of this?

Terminated sounds a bit pejorative doesn’t it but it might just be the word companies house always use when a directorship ends. He might have retired or anything. To be honest I didn’t think he was still at the club anyway

Yes, I think he resigned and thus his drectorship was terminated is probably the situation. Do any of the other board members actually play an active role I wonder?

The others have been there for as long as I can remember, very quietly in the background. I guess they and Ron feel they work well together, whatever that involves. I don’t think they have active roles other than effectively being sounding boards at board meetings, but with Ron ultimately making the decisions.

How does that work then?....Do will still have to pay them after the contracts are finished?

My understanding is that we've borrowed against future income.

All lending relies on future income for repayment. The risk lies in how certain that future income is, and whether something is likely to happen in the meantime which prevents repayment happening. In the case of SUFC most lenders would take a VERY cautious approach and would be unlikely to advance a penny unless there was a strong secondary source of repayment (e.g. tangible security),

So does this mean we havent actually paid off all our debts after all, or is it just on the court list to be rubber stamped as 'paid'?

I obviously have no idea how all this works..
