Joy.

That is going to cause absolute carnage on Priory Crescent and all surrounding roads.

Do we actually need city fibre?!
NO, most people already have fibreoptic cables in their road (Virgin), or have access to it.

Virgin already do Ultrafast fibre broadband 516 mbps, and there are others.
In terms of keeping up the infrastructure now and in the future that is rapidly growing, the answer is yes.

Otherwise in 2, 5, 10, 20, etc years time, people will moan and ask why this not in place.

Working in the IT industry, it's rapidly becoming something to rely on, ADSL , PTSN, ISDN, etc lines are being discontinued and cut off in 2025 by BT Openreach.

That’s what I thought. It’s nit even bad connections in the area. London is worse for it. Weird.

Planning application has been submitted by the club for the installation of 5 Temporary Modular buildings for “Welfare/training” facilities, for a period not exceeding 3 years, in lieu of the sunken facility already agreed.

Have you got a link for that?

The application states the recommendation from the contractors is that the new training pitches will be playable from March.

The plans above are in addition to the plans to “renovate” Roots Hall to include the main training facilities, canteen, social area etc. for the players. The temporary facilities at Fossetts are being built to meet Sports England welfare requirements, due to the distance between the pitches at Fossetts and the facilities at Roots Hall.
