We are also waiting on an update on the position with Whitey. 3 weeks it was said to be ........ and 3 weeks have now passed (well nearly).

Never expected to be back before Tuesday's game.

We know about Matty Fryatt and we know about George Boyd, so if either of them weren't playing it would be a bonus.

CP tweeted: Luke O'Neill rated 50/50 for the game. Will have a late fitness test. John White seeing specialist on Monday. Thompson favourite to start.

Think we can now fully understand why Luke O'Neill was brought in. Doesn't look as though White is going to be back any time very soon. I'm more or so easy whether it is O'Neill or Thompson, although I'd prefer the former, playing in his natural position. Personally, after his first-half performance against Chesterfield, I'm just delighted that he is even being considered for Saturday and probably wasn't alone in thinking that injury may have spelt the early end to his loan period with us.

Sounds like it will be Thompson on Saturday .......... and sounds like White will be out for some time perhaps even requiring shoulder surgery to strengthen the joint capsule, ligaments and all the other garb there is. Not good.

And we haven't heard anything about Bennett for a while. How long is it now? 4 months?

Out for 6 months from August.

25/01/2014 - Hull City (H)

We've Tamed The Lions, Now For The Tigers!

This weekend sees Blues take on Premier League side Hull City in the FA Cup 4th Round. We haven't played The Tigers since the 2009/2010 season in the Carling Cup, when they beat us 3-1 at the KC Stadium. (Moussa scored for us). We first played them in 1959, when we lost 3-2. Hull currently sit 11th in the Premier League, 5 points from safety and 28 points off top.

Saturday's game is a sellout, so lets hope everyone gets behind the Blues in what is our first 4th round appearance since 06/07 when we lost 1-0 to Spurs.

Hull's Last 5 Results:

Norwich City (A) - L 1-0
Chelsea (H) - L 0-2
Middlesbrough (A) - W 2-0 - McLean, Proschwitz
Liverpool (A) - L 0-2
Fulham (H) - W 6-0 - Elmohamedy, Koren (2), Boyd, Huddlestone, Fryatt

Out of 11 away games they have played this season, Hull have:

Won: 1
Drawn: 2
Lost: 8

Fact

UTB!!

Sorry to be pedantic but didn't we lose 3-1 to Spurs with Freddy getting our goal with a penalty. I believe the 1-0 loss was in the League cup in the same season. My apologies if I've got it wrong.
Otherwise a very good summary.

Hull City are flying down to Southend this afternoon for those interested.

It is indeed - Thank you very much! Just to confirm they are due at 3:40. We'll see who steps off...

It's my sixth I'll have you know! Thanks though. Not sure if I'm more nervous about watching BBC/SZ updates of tomorrow's game or my first match report I'm psyching myself up for on here after Tuesday!

Anyway back on topic- just got 2-2 at 80/1, thought that was pretty decent! This is therefore my prediction!

You're right! I'm sure i'm not the only one who gets those two games mixed up. Cheers for pointing that out

Teams used to stay at the Westcliff Hotel .Cant see them stopping at the Roslin because isn't Phil Brown staying there .

Lets hope they don't enjoy their stay where ever it is. It would be good if they stayed at bas Vegas and got woken up

It'd be better if TB and his drum would stand outside their hotel, with a few of his followers and make a noise all night like they do in South America.

Either way, I reckon we are going to give them a run for their money tomorrow.

Set the fire alarm off every hour and then put eye drops in their breakfast :winking:

UPDATE: Hull have recalled Jack Hobbs from his loan spell at Notts Forest. As far as i am aware, he is now available for selection tomorrow
