It is possible to gave a good old moan on here and then back the team 100% at the ground. Don't assume people won't be doing this

Absolutely agree, it appears that if you come on here and moan or slate the team that you do t care or don't support the team. That is simply not the case, this is a forum for people to share views, frustrations, opinions and at times praise. End if the day we all have one team to support and that's Southend. I was so ****ed off last it's beyond belief, but I will be there on Saturday and give it 100% from the stands, just hope PB and the team give 100% as well.

Welcome back, been quiet on here during the last few games when weve played well and wasnt losing !

8 points from the last 7 games paints an entirely different story!

But if you think I only post when we lose that's up to you, thanks though for the welcome back.

I didn't hear the post match interview last night but maybe once, even if it just once, an interviewer or journalist could ask PB why he continually brings on Weston from the bench? sometimes at the cost of taking off our best player on the night. Now maybe he genuinely believes that Myles can change a game, I don't know. PB is with the players every day I only see them for 90 minutes a week or 180 at most. But for the life of me I cant see the point - but I'm just a fan not a professional.

The bizarre thing last night was that he took Worrall off for Weston to come on. Worrall has been easily our most consistent player since coming into the side. He cant play well every game, but he is a match winner and chips in with goals unlike the rest of the midfield. Im a huge fan of both leonard and hurst, but neither have produced consistently well this season. PB said last night that Worrall was unhappy about coming off, PB said that he was unhappy with his performance, way to go PB, publicly digging a player. Just another odd PB substitution im afraid

Unfortunately I was and Brown's 'gambling' tactics were not at all appreciated. He created the problem and them some on here offer praise unto Nero for being brave enough to 'play' with our defence in order to recover a position that we should never have been put into. Simple story ... Brown lost it !!

I am desperate to see my team playing above League Two football and shall be bitterly diasappointed if we are obliged to play another season in the basement division. I don't like instability at the club with chopping and changing managers and I was one of those who was in favour of Paul Sturrock getting another year.
Phil Brown was brought in with great fanfare in order to succeed where Paul Sturrock was deemed to have failed. I can't remember a season recently where, on and off the field, the situation has been more propicious for success. Of course I shall be behind the team again on Saturday and for the remainder of the season, willing us on to the play-offs and and beyond, as will the great majority of us on here. Yet, if we fail, I do feel there is a question for those who would still back Phil Brown. If he fails to get us up this season, when virtually everything has been in his favour, when exactly is he going to be capable of doing it?
Do I have unrealistic ambitions for my club? No, I don't think so. Last night we played against a side top of the league and incapable, in that situation, of even attracting 2000 of their own supporters. We have rather more potentional than that (we can nearly muster that number for an away game) yet, at the moment, we don't look as though we can exploit it. That was the task laid in front of PB, in my view, he has a couple more months to achieve it.

I'd have to agree here - I think the outlook is incredibly bleak, and I see no other alternative than us dropping in to the Conference at the end of the season...... Oh, hang on, I've made a mistake here, we're not in the bottom 2, but we're 5th inthe table and bang in the middle of a promotion race... Not that you would ever think that from this thread!!

There is a constant backdrop of criticism on this board relating to Brown, especially when results do not go our way, and last night is again a case in point. Is it not about time that the players took some of the responsibility here? The ONLY place to put the blame for last night is squarely at their door - Their attitude, in my opinion, was totally wrong after half time and they thought they had done enough to win the game, given our numeric and score line advantage. It was abundantly clear from his post match interview that he had told them not to drop off, not to lower their intensity and to continue doing all the things that had got us in front in the first place, and yet they did none of that.

The subsitutions can be questioned as they didn't change the game as we would have wanted them to - But I do not have any issue with Brown going 3 at the back trying to get the victory - as someone has already pointed out, he gets crucified when he is too defensive and yet he is now coming under fire for being adventurous - He's damned either way.

I'm certainly not Brown's biggest fan, and in my eyes, he certainly has his flaws, but seriously, this level of animosity being directed at him when we're still in with a shout of promotion, at the very least the play offs, is just not warranted. We do not have a devine right to get promoted - just look at Portsmouth - and perhaps our squad isn't quite as good as some of us believe it is. That said, the level of performance against Wycombe. Dagenham and the first half last night would suggest that the manager is not completely devoid of ideas and knowledge!

Personally, I think the players need a bit of a kick up the backside - I respect Brown for what he did last night in so far as taking full responsibility, but maybe he would have been better for not doing that and making the players look at themselves.

I really believe that his constant gnawing away at Brown and his managerial ability is counter productive, and arguably, inaccurate. Playoffs last season and still in the race fo automatic this season, albeit it is now less likely, is hardly the stuff that nightmares are made of, and he's done no worse that Mr Sturrock who was revered at this club.

An excellent well balanced and rationale message. This is spot on for me.

Burton, in stark contrast to us, are a well-run club who have a new stadium and the revenue that goes with that. They have built solid foundations for success. We have a chairman who is in and out of the High Court with a dubious grasp of punctuation and has spent almost a decade spinning us rubbish about a new stadium.

I know which club I would say is tinpot.

The way that people come on here with hindsight and bleet off like they are the best thing since sliced bread and Phil and the team are the worst is pathetic. Please go and support Barcelona....
So we can only agree with you now, is that what you are saying. We are all entitled to opinions even if they differ.
Save the word "pathetic" for last nights cave in under pressure from 10 men:'(
