*WHAT DO YOU DO NOW: Sales Rep for an office supplies company
*PRO'S OF JOB:

*Don't work that hard (provided i'm doing well)
*Local. Get up at 8.15 and still get in for 9am. Getting home at 5.10 every night.
*Quality banter in the office.
*Commision based so go home feeling good if i have made a hatful of sales that day and earnt a load of commision.
*Get to sit in a nice office all day on SZ.

*CON'S OF JOB:

*Commision based, if you are having a bad week/month it plays on your mind that you haven't earnt as much as you could have done with a few more sales.
* There's a bit of cold calling involved - Feel like a **** ringing people and sometimes get people being rude.

*IF MONEY WAS NO OBJECT I WOULD BE A:

*A tough one. Perhaps a holiday rep in the carribbean (barbados or somewhere like that) or maybe even a football commentator.

Ok, let's give this a go then...

Current job: retail supervisor in the garden centre department of a home and leisure chain.

pros:
I get to work with plants and study horticulture.
I get to chat to people about gardening (without getting told to shut up and get working)
I get free reign to re-merchandise the plants side of the department, and basically treat it as my own.

Cons:
It's retail, and sorry, but a large proportion of the public are annoying!
I work weekends
I sometimes work late (early hours if stock taking)
Money's poor
way too much unneccessary paperwork being introduced
Staff numbers getting cut, making it harder to maintain a healthy plant stock

If money was no object I'd be:

Money's never been a real driving issue for me, so probably what I'm currently aiming at, and thats to get qualified in horticulture, and to go into grounds maintenance in one of the country's stately homes.

Bet that'll shock anyone that knew me at school!

Job -European Commercial manager for a Liner shipping Company.

Pro's - Money is ok and get to to travel.

Cons - Its a tired industry, that needs a thorough revamp.

Ambition - Run a Basil fawlty style hotel.

WHAT I DO NOW: Architect/Designer for a Housing Developer

PROS OF THE JOB: 9 to 5.30 only, I'm paid very well for my age (no silly comments please SZFC players) Get to put my own personal stamp on various slocations in the region helping to provide a better way of life for future generations.

CONS: Not too many to be quite fair its a job I wanted to do since my work experience.

IF MONEY WAS NO OBJECT: I'd have to go for being a golf caddie to a top professional, jet around the world playing the best courses the world has to offer this way I'd actually get to play at Augusta, normally only work 30 weeks of the year so plenty of time off. I know money is supposed to be no object but caddies normally pick up 8-10% of their masters winnings. Steve Williams who is Tiger Woods caddy is currently the highest paid sportsman in New Zealand who last year earn in the region of $2m!!

I think i will have to decrease Napster's reputation then since Drewe was a pile of w@nk...

Go for it. I'll drag you down as well. Oh, you might as well go for all the other people who voted Drewe as a legend. Including MtS, Einstein, and various others. I'm not alone!

;)

Job Credit Controller for the Aviation Division of a International Insurance Brokers
Pro's: pretty much my own boss as no one else in the department has a clue what I do
Cons; credit control is not really high on anyones agenda (feck knows why , without the money we would sink) so its basically me against the world.......
Insurance is the worst paid industry in the city and Accounts/CC is the worst paid job in Insurance so..........
Nearly 30 years and I am getting a bit fed up with dealing with the industry
I could go on

Ideal Job: I was going to become a paramedic a couple of years back but i was too old and , considering the valuable job those guys do they are paid shyte...
Personally i am too old, and too twisted to really fancy doing anything anymore. I was screwed over by career advisors in my teens as to what I needed in the way of qualifications for the job I wanted to do (Pharmacist) which resulted in failing university, I took a job so I could earn money and grafted my nuts off at it (including 12 hour days) so i could progress and provide for my Wife and kids, only for the Wife to **** off with the first fat bloke to wave his **** at her taking half of everything except my depression...

Give me my Storm, decent weather and roads without twunts in BMW's and I would be happy but as they is never going to happen i suppose i should get back on with my work.......

*WHAT YOU DO NOW:
Tussle with Uxbridge.....I work as a customer insight analyst at Betfair.com

*PRO'S OF JOB
Get to watch sport all day and get a chunky discount on commission (only really important when you bet big though!), don't have to deal direct with clients, completely casual dress code, very impressive competence of everyone I've dealt with, well suited to my strengths really

*CON'S OF JOB
Biggest gripe is that they don't really pay proportionately to the market whilst also not paying proportionate to profit after presumably getting carried away last year, bit of a pain getting back for evening games, as the department doesn't generate money, it doesn't get credit, long hours for the market.

*IF MONEY WAS NO OBJECT I WOULD BE A
Snowboard instructor, definitely. Not one of these mincey teach-you-to-take your-first-steps types but a proper we're-going-off-piste-on-day-three instructor. Had some mates out to Whistler and gave them the Jones school of skiing/boarding and they loved it. As money is no object, you can pick and choose customers and when it dumps, you can hit the best trails.

Oh, and in the summer, you can do whatever the hell you want.

*Head of Content for Ladbrokes eGaming. Deciding what content goes on Ladbrokes.com - in 12 different languages.

I have to say my old mate, whoever decided to implement the latest Point of Sale displays with that saucy little blonde Page3 honey dressed as a jockey deserves some kind of Marketing Guru status! She brightens up my walk to/from the station every single day..............

I bet that was some photoshoot, those pics aren't on the website too by any chance? I can't get onto Ladbrokes.com thanks to pesky work internet filter!

Go for it. I'll drag you down as well. Oh, you might as well go for all the other people who voted Drewe as a legend. Including MtS, Einstein, and various others. I'm not alone!

;)

Dont let him worry you mate...

We can get him lower than Wiggy if we all work together. :D

*What you do now
Quantity Surveyor for a multi million pound Building Contractor

*Pro's
Good working enviroment, good money, variation of work type and you never know what the day will bring.

*Con's
When a job goes financially bad and the inquest / witch hunt starts. Realiization that there are a lot of incompetent people in god jobs within the Construction industry. Travelling....Luton & Milton Keynes are 2 current jobs, mainly based at Waltham Abbey so M25 every day:mad:

*Ideal job

Compiling / editing football / sports clips with music a la Soccer Am....all day just watching sports and listening to music:D

*Great to be involved in sports and betting all day every day

Hey Uxbridge, Corals had Stockport at 6/5 last week which I thought was decent for a tema with 8 straight wins behind them. In fact it looked so good it scared me off so I didnt take it. What were you offering and if your lot ever make a mistake with a price do you let anyone punters know?

*WHAT YOU DO NOW: (in no particular order) sports tour company representative, property management company representative, website designer, search engine marketing consultant, English teacher (TEFL), Father Christmas, barman, beach bum.

*PRO'S OF JOB: I'm my own boss working from home for much of the time.

*CON'S OF JOB: Income can be a bit erratic, especially during the low season.

*IF MONEY WAS NO OBJECT I WOULD BE A: better beach bum than I am now.

*WHAT YOU DO NOW:
Accountant for a small family run media firm.

*PRO'S OF JOB
Easy to do, can spend most of the day on here, can get here and leave pretty much whenever I like, 20 mins away from home, get a day off every two weeks

*CON'S OF JOB
Seeing all this money go by and being able to take any, poor pay, is pretty boring, dealing with annoyed people from newspapers when we haven't paid and when they haven't paid not being able to treat them/talk to them in the same manner they do to us because they'll just leave. No office totty because I'm related to most of them.

*IF MONEY WAS NO OBJECT I WOULD BE A
Professional Skier - which I could probably do if I didn't have enough money.
I really want to get into PR and music production too, which is what I'll go to uni for next year hopefully. Making music, promoting it and hobnobbing with celebs, sounds good to me.
