Does anyone remember Bud Houghton? What a battering ram of a centre forward he was, not much skill but scored a hatful of goals.

OBL, will have to check the dates for those two. I thought they both played in the title winning team (I might be way off here)

The Hall of Fame is always open for the right candidate. Feel free to start up a thread to get some more nominations going, or to bump the last lot of nominations. The boy Eastwood is now eligible.... 5 nominations and he'll go forward to the SZ ballot.
 
Too many favourites, however among those who made Roots Hall special, will never forget Harry Threadgold, goalkeeper, running up the left wing, wth his arm in a sling(before the time of substitutes against Yeovil in a Cup game, and his two buds, Arthur Williamson and Sandy Anderson. It has to be Harry since Billy Best has been taken

If you're sure about that, I think it's 7th round of nominations now so I'll start a new thread, though the whole thing may need to be brought to the attention of our newer posters! You normally start them though!
