23. Alan Moody (1972-1984) (Sleaford Shrimper)
24. Sandy Anderson (Yogi)
25. Andy Smillie (Billy Bests boot laces)

OBL & Sleaford - I'm afraid Moody, Yates and Hadley are all ineligible as they all played well into the 80s. Do you want to pick again?

I'll never forget seeing Alan Foggon (ex of Newcastle and played at the highest level) training with a fag in his hand - priceless
So confusing, just keep thinking of Ken Foggo!

How about Dave Elliott? He would be considered too slow now, but then no sides pressed up much and he had plenty of space in midfield. Lovely passer of the ball. Captained the side for a while. He came from Newcastle and when he arrived (about 1971) was obviously over weight. Was supposed to have lost two stone in close season 1971, then played a big part in our promotion year.

Left us to become manager of Newport County IIRC. Do you want to nominate him mate?

I remember Dave Elliott though I thought he was a little later, wore the no. 4 shirt. Also Mickey Laverick, Stuart Brace, the Worthingtons and the Parkers to consider.

I've got Derek Spence's shirt, sponsored him in our title winning season. I'll go for John McKinven or Trevor Roberts....

Yes it was, it happened near the South East corner, I was standing on the South Bank and everyone heard the crack. Mick posted some time ago that he made a few sub appearances the following season, but the injury effectively ended his career.

Yes I was there as well - as I`ve posted before - Many years later when John worked with my Dad - he said that the injury was promised by the quoted person (allegedly)

As no one has done it and he is my favourite:-

It was perhaps fitting that Taylor's career was ended by injury. It was just a shame that his so called managerial skills were inflicted on us. It was a source of joy to me that Dave Smith's teams normally got the better of Watford.

Me too H, used to really enjoy going to Vicarage Road and putting one over him and Elton, who was often in the Directors' Box - saw him at RH as well a few times.
