With less 48 hours to go until kick off, parts of Wembley are closed due to a unexploded WW2 bomb being found in Empire Way

Forget all that, will they be detonating the bomb on Saturday? I reckon the smoke would look well good on TV.

Proper like.

I blame The Blue Voice. Or Chris Phillips. It's definitely one of their fault.

Wembley play offs at risk...blooming Germans!

Breaking News! Wembley Play-Offs at risk after builders discover an unexploded bomb near Wembley!

"The 50kg explosive, which is believed to have been dropped over the capital during Nazi bombing raids in the early 1940s, was discovered by builders working near the national stadium.
Police reportedly told bystanders that bombs of this size can take up to a week to remove, while the Army has warned of a ‘genuine risk to life’.

The delay could cause issues for Britain’s Got Talent’s live semi-finals starting on Monday, while it has also put at risk the Football League play-off finals due to begin from tomorrow at the stadium."

What with earthquakes and bombs.......

Well that's not good news so late in the day, lets hope they get it sorted today.

According to LBC, bomb disposal are working round the clock to defuse and remove the little tinker. Whack it with a hammer.

Deegan will rip it out. , crush it with his bare hands and then eat 5 Yorkie bars.

Just been on the Brent Council website and this is what it says:-

[h=1]WWII unexploded device Wembley - Civic centre closed[/h] 21 May 2015,
Police were called at around 3pm today to a building site on Empire Way, Wembley, to reports of an unexploded device believed to be from World War II.

It was discovered by builders working at the location and it is believed to weigh approximately 50kg. A 400m cordon is in place around the site which includes the civic centre, whilst work is underway to make safe the device.

As a precaution, a number of residential and business addresses have also been evacuated. At this stage we do not know how long this incident is likely to last however, a rest centre has been set up at Chalk Hill Community Centre for affected residents.

Brent Civic Centre is closed all day on Friday as the council has been advised that bomb disposal experts are planning a controlled explosion during the day......

Please continue to check our website or social media accounts for regular service updates or call our emergency number 020 8937 1511, which will have more information available on it from 8am on Friday morning."

Fingers crossed on this one !:stunned:
