Bonjela

it's not impacted, as I said it's just as it's coming through the gum.
Can still be, trying to, just breaking through then not continuing. My bottom ones were. Had them removed in the surgery, two seperate ops, bottom two first I think, then the top 2 a bit later. Hamster cheeks!

I think a dentist after 2 x-rays and 2 appointments would know if it's impacted or not. it's coming through the gum which is pushing against my top wisdom tooth.

anyways woken up and it feels miles better... see peeps at RH!

Now that's cheating, you said earlier you hadn't been to the dentist! In which case it's normal wisdom tooth pain - chew on something to help the gum break.....bark is good ;)

Having recently had tons of tooth pain (resulting, eventually, in two root canals and a couple of teeth getting crowned, for my sins - painful in the mouth and on the wallet), the only things that work for tooth pain are:

1. Dental strength ibuprofen - i.e. 600 - 800 mg capsules. These can be hard to come by in the UK - if you happen to know anyone in Spain, where they seem to trust adults to self-medicate a little more than we do over here, you should be able to get hold of them.

2. Clove oil. It will sting like hell if you get it on your tongue, and it tastes gross, but it really does kill the pain.

Matt

Wouldn't have thought Bonjela is too serious - it is aimed at kids after all isn't it?! Wisdom teeth, in fact, any tooth ache is probably the worst pain in the world - I'd advise maxing out on paracetamol and ibuprofen until you can get an appointment, which I'd advise you to do asap. Wisdoms are a sod though cos they can move about for ages. Oil of cloves in its pure form applied directly to the area is also supposed to be very good.

This isn't true. I read an article somewhere saying Earache is the worst pain in the world. Even worse then pregnancy but since I'm a geezer I couldn't give a **** if that hurt or not!!

Off topic but fair me thinks!!

Is that bread or bred?? Just thought I should highlight your errors. I know if I did that for all of your errors I'd be doing nothing else.

O and lets not be too hasty, we have 40 notes riding on the Scumend, i mean Southend, games!!

Dunno about earache, but I would also dispute that tooth pain is the worst of all. Having had all my wisdoms out and three root canals, I can confirm that whilst tooth pain is bad, it has nothing on a kidney stone. That's a whole other level of pain...

is eating a tube's worth in one day dangerous?!

I've got serious wisdom tooth issues at the moment, and with being all over the country at the moment I haven't had time to grab a checkup at the dentist (who is a sadist bitch and won't do anything about it anyways). Anyway my addiction to Bonjela has reached a new high with me using up a whole tube in one day... I've actually feel like a junkie, where I don't actually get any pain relief from it, but just eat it to feel normal (plus it tastes nice).

Should I be worried about the state of my guts and liver? I've only just read the tube which says you should only apply it ever 3 hours! I've done it probably 3 times in 1 hour!:O

Morning Chap!

I was hopelessly addicted to Bonjela and Rinstead pastelles when I was younger. I had councelling for it, but managed to ween myself off by switching to crack and turps, but it wasn't easy.

You have my sympathy.
Kind Regards

Depends on how your wisdom teeth are positioned (all four of mine were horizontal) and how close to the nerve line in your jaw. In my case, it was about two weeks of pure pain wired into my brain. I felt like Monkey out of "Monkey" when the Buddha he-she thing started messing with his golden halo. Any Monkey fans will know what I'm talking about.

I've broken my nose a few times, both ankles and had teeth clean knocked out but wisdom teeth removal is the worst pain there is for me. Badly stubbing your toe is second.

Most pain I've had, apart from stepping on Peppa fig figure in bare feet, is having my knee injected to take out some fluid. I almost fainted with shock.

More painful than the "unmbrella down the jap's eye" at the clinic? I should have put that at number 2.

1. Wisdom teeth.
2. Umbrella-Jap's Eye combination.
3. Stepping on Peppa Pig.
4. Fluid removal from knee.

Cracked it.

Excellent stuff. The Smudger scale of pain.
