DEADPOOL 2022

Uwe Seeler, German football legend, 85.

I've just learnt of Uwe Seeler's death.

For any young 'uns out there, he somehow headed the ball backwards in a looping arc to net the crucial equalising goal for West Germany against England in the QF of the World Cup in 1970.

That set the game up for WG's victory in extra-time. I think that was my first ever major upset watching football. There've been several since, of course. But, as we all know, the first cut is the deepest.

David Trimble - A man who helped broker peace and Northern Ireland's first Minister. RIP.

Actor David Warner, who starred in films such as The Omen and Tron, has died at the age of 80 from a cancer-related illness.

Wonderful in so many films including Morgan and The Straw Dogs.
