On the plane over here watch Tom Hanks in Otto. Hanks at his best and full of atmosphere. Good film if you like something of that ilk, with no explosions or superheroes. 8/10

Still haven't watched it yet and have been told to expect to cry. Accurate?

yeah l would say so, and l am not a soppy sentimentalist, but I had to "remove a bit of dust" from my eye as far as the missus was concerned.

Saw Sam Mendes's wonderful Empire of Light again earlier (on DVD).Think I'd agree with a Grauniad article a fortnight or so ago which called this along with The Fablemans as among the best films of 2023 so far.
