Freddie Ladapo

I’d be surprised if this happens as they’re after Will Grigg too.

Portsmouth supposedly have also had a bid rejected. Would be surprised if he goes, he's a big player for Plymouth and the cost of relegation would surely outweigh any transfer fee they could get for him.

It's a tough one because any chance they have of staying up would surely go if they sold him as there's no time for them to look for a replacement now

Sunderland and Portsmouth interested in signing him, rumoured fees of £500k.

Was just about to post a thread on him asking for opinions. His record at this level is awful other than last season. Surely we won't spend £500k on him?

You'd be mad if you did.Though, typically, he looked a much better player playing against us than playing for us.Either way,he's still very limited technically.

Seems another Charlie Wyke signing. The similarities are ridiculous.

One good season in which he's one of the leagues top scorers, having previously been fairly poor at this level.
Rumours of him signing early in the window.
Half a million fee.
Likely doesn't want to play for us.

The Graeme Jones of the 21st century

It may be worth taking a punt, it depends how you want him to play. He didn't manage it with us but he did score against us for Plymouth. £500k? way, way, way too much, but Plymouth will be out to get as much as possible for him to try and get out of FL2 next season.

Ladapo looked absolutely hapless with us. He was always a second slow to react to everything and showed zero footballing brains. I’m staggered at what he achieved last year.

Again, some players shine at some clubs where they've failed at others.

Coventry & Wolves think Freddy was ****. To us, he's a footballing god.

For the benefit of the uninformed, MK is referring to Eastwood not Ladapo.:Smile2:

Fair play to the guy, he smashed it in a crap team last season. Looked like an absolute donkey for us. People will like to point out we seem to sign Strikers who couldn't hit a barn door, Hooper, Paynter, Harrold, Ladapo

But let's not forget we've had a few on the flip side of the coin with Corr, Hopper & Wayne Gray

Styles and managers have a lot to do with how a player settles into a side of finds form at this level.

Tangled up in Blue is a notoriously bad judge of a forward, so him writing him off is about as close to a slam dunk as you can get:
