Heard today that the proposed take over of West Ham is being Ghost Funded by a ruthless russian Tycoon who once dabbled in business with Abramovich. However, things didnt go smoothly and Abramovich cheated this Russian out of a deal equating to 100's of millions of dollars, leaving the guy pretty much flat broke.

Now, this russian has drawn together far more money than Abramovich has currently, and is using it to fund West Ham in order to exact revenge on Abramovich by spoiling his Party at Chelsea, by stealing the title. However UEFA are launching an inquiry into the takeover, which could lead them to halt it.

the question is, if this does go through and the rumour is true, how will this affect us? I noticed a significant increase in West Ham supporters around town after there promotion, God knows what will happen if they're title contenders

So West Ham are going to be used as a revenge act against Roman Abramovich? If so, how long will that all last? Maybe a season or two before this Russian tycoon decides he's had his fun and walks away - saddling them with big-name players on huge contracts, massive debts and no financial means of surviving.

Short term glory for the Hamsters maybe but a potential for serious long term misery.

Funny thing I read the other day is that Abramovich is the governor of a Western Russian province and the authorities want him to remain in his position even though he is rarely there and does not want the post! Isn't politics great.
