It is officially World Cup Month

Completely over the line, if you watch corners get taken you'll usually see that the ball is touching a point past the line because of that rule.
Corners happens all the time, though by average minimum, its always touching. Its become such a farce.

Wrong, the whole of the circumference of the ball needs to be over the whole of the line. If an element of the ball is overhanging any part of the line it is in play.

Even with all the replays it's not possible to determine if it was out, so you stay with the onfield decision of a goal.

Is that the laws of the game rule book wording? So sad this is what we debate nowadays...

That's what I meant, the ball has to be completely over the line to be out of play, if part of the ball (even if it isn't touching the ground) is hovering over the line then it's still in play, which is why corner takers often have part of the ball outside the corner spot.

Feel sorry for Japan, thought they played really well apart from the penalties which were shocking.

It’s the British way, to moan and criticise. I’ve already heard so many people saying it’s a given that France will beat us .. or imagine what Brazil would do to us etc. .. this is a team who’ve got to a WC semi final, a Euros final and are now in the quarter finals of this WC. We can beat anyone on our day just like Mbappe could have an off day. You never know in football. If we lose we’ll leave everything out there, I’m sure.

Morocco win on penalties 3-0 after extra time and knock Spain out.

They defended as if their lives depended on a clean sheet. :Thumbs up:

So a Spaniard with the final penalty knocks Spain out! :Hilarious:

And Ironically a Catalan (Sergio Busquets) with Spain's last pen.kick faied to score.Go figure. :Winking:

Having made the 3 hour trip at lunchtime from France (where they weren't showing the game) to SC (where they were) I thought it was a thoroughly engrossing match.Mind you the way Portugal have just played fink they'll win on Sat.against Morocco.

Surprised that wasn't a red for the Brazil guy - kicked the Croatian in the head
