Another 2 weeks will leave it very close to end of the transfer window. Would think the club have an idea of the extent of the situation and what action may/may not be taken.

The Echo states Nile is suspended from all first team matches and friendlies! Does that mean he's not at training either? If not and the club do decide to keep him on after it will be another 2-3 weeks before he's match fit again!!!

I don't think they can stop him training can they? It's not as far as I know a suspension from all football related activities.

So the news is.......there is no news.

Correct Wally, but with two weeks to dwell on it I expect some on ShrimperZone will declare that they have irrefutable proof that it is this or that obtained by a very reliable source. Obviously 'this or that' will not be shared as a) they promised their source they wouldn't snitch, or b) it is total bollocks. Only time will tell.

This is a thread about Nile Ranger's possible suspension. Mrsblue always has an opinion about this sort of thing and tends to post in a way that others find difficult not to react to. The fact that it is mrsblue's opinion doesn't mean it is correct, in fact, often mrsblue is the only one with that opinion.. Suggestions.....If mrsblue's posts annoy then use the ignore function, or just ignore. Otherwise this will be another thread that where mrsblue's opinion dominates a thread.

What? Why has no one told us this before?? I had just ordered my "you'll never win anything with old has-beens" T-shirt.

So the news is.......there is no news.

Well, yes and no! I found this passage quite interesting...........

"The club recognises the difficulties Nile Ranger has suffered in the past and, although to a lesser extent, that continue to impact on the present.

"It is therefore fair that the club comes to a decision only when all the facts, and factors, are to hand.
"A negative decision, and consequential termination of Nile’s contract, would effectively undo all the good work the club and manager, Phil Brown, have achieved to date.
"However no player is more important that the club."

So, we can assume the club would be loathed to let the good work done with Nile come to nothing, although the possibility of rupture must remain as an ultimate resort. The clubs reasoning may be that the new misdemeanor could be mitigated by the undoubted pressure he is under from the charges he is presently facing for his alleged past misdeeds. Don't write Nile off yet but all will probably depend on the action the FA finally decides to take.
