During Wignall's pre season we lost 4-2 to Ipswich, lost to Gillingham as well I think (Tommy Johnson certainly scored for them and I don't remember us scoring) and we lost at home to Canvey through a Ty Gooden goal. I wouldn't call that overly encouraging

Im seem to remember having great optimism at the start of that season, only to have it crushed soon afterwards.

The papers do seem to be saying we are playing well
