Yeah, I’ve just gone onto their online ticketing site and can’t see an “away” option. But it is early and I’m only on my first coffee.
If you go to the tickets section on their website, then scroll down to vs Southend United, then away fans there still seems to be plenty for sale

Actually yep, was thinking about this since Saturday and with what we have, 4231 really would would for us.

Given his cameo Saturday though Bridge for Powell for me - people moaned about Powell not getting his head up or being selfish etc, but at least he made things happen. Watching the highlights from Saturday most of everything we did second half featured him.

Also, harsh on Taylor to be bombed! Was MoM for me and I'd stick him centre mid for Husin, especially in a 4231 where you want 2 sitting defensively.

But yea, would love to see it, but not sure Maher has the capacity to look beyond 3 at the back.
I’m assuming Taylor will be unavailable, hence starting my post “Assuming no Taylor or Hyde” He was struggling after Mohsniing their keeper.

Maher has played 4 at the back in the past. Last time was Stockport away (0-5) before that Maidenhead away (1-2). You can see why he might be reluctant to use it.

He tends to use it against teams who also play 4 at the back (Maidenhead, Altrincham, Dorking) so might consider it against Solihull.

My preference to switch to it would be as much from an attacking point of view as a defensive one. I wouldn’t be keen on two defensive midfielders and would much rather Miley be paired with Husin and Fonguck ahead of them to ensure we can link defence to midfield and midfield to attack. That way Jack Bridge might actually see the ball in good positions.

Think the team pretty much picks itself at the moment. Those posting 4-2-3-1’s may be disappointed as I don’t see Kev changing our setup this early.

Arnold
Hobson, Kensdale, Ralph
Taylor, Husin/Fonguck, Miley, Clifford
Mooney, Wreh, Powell

Collin looks slimmer and fitter this season, he is an athlete, good ball skills and plenty of confidence, & vocal. If he plays we can see how he has developed and if we do need an emergency keeper cover or not.
In many ways this game is a free hit for us, and plenty of the players, as it is one that not much more than a point was expected from when fixtures came out.

All of the yellow blocks are still available, with just the 1 sold out since they went on sale

I'd like to think we will sell our allocation but, depleted squad, expecting a pasting, ground ticked off last year, no trains, fuel costs and cost of living etc.

Anything over 400 odd won't be a bad away attendance.

Ticket sales look good considering our players available.
All credit to the supporters going to Brum. I hope they are rewarded with a gutsy performance.

First game of the season for me being away last weekend.

Hope to see a 3 4 3 including lomas, Ralph at wing back, and a 3 up top of Wreh, Powell and Mooney. Maybe too early for young Louis though.

You always then have the option of changing that in the middle to a 5 if it doesn't look great in the centre of the park.

As long as I see desire I'm happy.

Blue army

I hope they prove me wrong but same issues as last season, leaky at the back and toothless up front. Solihull started well.
I wouldn't take too much from the Boreham Wood game. They will be top 7 for sure and specialise in 1-0 wins.
