Latest Rumours Summer Transfer Window Thread 2019

There's a difference between a 442 winger, a proper winger, and a 433 winger who is more of a wide forward. I think Theo could do a job in 433 but not in 442.

This. I think this may be what KB could have in mind @Lincoln Shrimp, which could work really well. You’re right that Theo would be much less effective as a touchine hugging winger IMO.

We desperately need a winger with pace which will add something in the final third as well as giving us an out ball.
A further wide midfielder is still needed as well as although we have an abundance of midfielders, the majority all play centrally.

There always seems to be plenty of young loan players which fill that role (speedy wingers) knocking around

We’re in desperate need of pace. Especially after Theo left, we were so sluggish and one paced. As erratic as McGlashan was, he often changed the game from the bench as defenders were always shell shocked by us suddenly having a quick outlet.

Milligan's can apparently pick and ping a pass, Theo makes lots of runs into space but for many of his games last season we had no one in midfield who could either see or make the pass.

Theo's back now, so we could always call on him for pace.

I can’t wait to see Barrett on our left wing, will be like a new signing, think loan signings will be case from now.

I agree with you, but I hope we don't expect too much too soon from that young man. For the moment I will be ecstatic just to see him kick a ball in a Blues shirt again. That injury he got could well have finished his professional career.
