****** with a knife attacks people at a tube station then. It is almost like mindless bombing of the Middle East makes us less safe rather than more safe.

Let's face it all those who are in favour of the bombing will only change their mind (if then) when lot's more things like this happen and when it's proved conclusively that the West has no plan B for what takes place after the bombing stops.

What is it about Rigsby's reply that appeals to you?

For what it's worth, it was this bit that I clicked like for............Watched a good documentary about the Kurds fighting ISIS. Some really tough and brave fighters including the women.

If people like you are going to ask people why they clicked like on certain post's, this forum is going downhill. I am very fair with my 'like clicks'. If I like all or part of a post, I click like. I even click like to people that have opposite views to me.

As far as I tell there isn't many on the zone that are in favour of bombing. They would rather the money be spent on security at home. Hope your not going to blame every future incident here in Britain because of Syria. They have prevented 7 attacks in the last 12 months, all planned long before any of the current Air strikes.

The man at Leytonstone was C*** nothing more nothing less. If you let him off the hook because he shouts 'that was for Syria' You might as well agree with a rapist who says 'she was asking for it'.

If you don't agree with western policy in the ME, fine. Plenty of Muslims don't use it as an excuse and neither should you.

Just curious. As I later noted his post was made up if two very different parts. I was being nosey.

Oh I'm very much in favour of bombing, carpet bombing in fact, if it does the trick. I'm also a fan of waterboarding, testicles wired up to car batteries and any other cruel form of torture that will break these scumbags for information.

I've always found that experience quite pleasurable myself.

What's worse, someone who's prepared to give it a go, and then find out it didn't work, i.e. someone who's prepared to be open minded enough to change their mind, or someone who is so blinkered they're not prepared to accept they may be proved wrong?

Give exactly what a go ?

You seem to be ignoring the fact that bombing didn't work in Iraq and Afghanistan nor in Libya.Hence my Einstein quote.

When will that be?

Some considerable time according to Fallon.

At least Old Albert came up with a few solutions. Apart from do nothing and accusing people of being racist you have yet to add anything on any of these threads.

I would love to hear how doing nothing will end terrorism in Britain, Europe and the ME

How "Mindless"? Very carefully targeted at ISIS infrastructure to reduce their ability to fund their economy, and so far no reports of any civilian casualties. Should we really be cowering in a corner, afraid to confront the fascist evil of our generation in case we suffer some terrorist attacks while Yazidis, Jews, Christians and countless others are being murdered, displaced, and used as sex slaves? The Blitz generation would be astounded at how frit we are becoming.

It isn't about cowering at all, it's about recognising that this is exactly what got us into this mess in the first place.

This is the issue with the way our current government lined out their arguements. You were either pro-bombing or a "terrorist sympathiser" doing nothing. That was never the arguement of the opposition...propaganda at its finest and it seems to have worked a treat on you

It isn't propaganda, it was an ill thought out comment that will continue to bite Cameron on the arse for a very long time.

The ME has several factions who are fighting each other,Kurds are fighting IS whilst the Turks are killing the Kurds,Russia are bombing IS and the rebels who are the same Rebels the west are backing,Turkey are buying oil from IS whilst flogging them arms, tribes are fighting different tribes and it goes on and on.Meanwhile Boko Harem slaughter by the thousand and the media and the world have zero interest because there is nothing no oil or opium to be had.

It won't end well, if it ever ends at all. Maybe it will with a mushroom cloud and the 1% that are left can go to war over who gets to eat the roasted cockroaches.

Happy Christmas!

And you seem to be doing the usual and not answering my question.

The problem is you are so closed minded you won’t accept you can ever be wrong, and are setting yourself up in a way where it can never be proved. As previously discussed you don’t blame terrorists for terrorism, you blame the government at the time. So, should there be an attack in this country, instead of blaming the perpetrators you’ll say it was the government’s fault, and by extension you’ll blame the air strikes. You’ll do that even though we won’t know a huge amount about how long terrorist had been planning the attack, and how long they’ve been radicalised (assume they have been). You also won’t know if, and how many attacks will have been thwarted by these air strikes simply because they won’t have happened, and as previously discussed on various conspiracy theory threads, because you can’t prove a negative. In that respect you’re no better than a conspiracy theorist.

Moreover, it is worth pointing out that you said you’d back air strikes with a UN resolution hoping you’d never get one. However, you have one which says member states can “use any means necessary”, so you moved the goalposts and asked for a Chapter 7, which you know full well will never happen with Syria’s biggest Ally, Russia, being part of the vote.
