So, with yet more High Street retailers going into the question of how Ron World is funded raises it's ugly head.

Looking at the websites of the both of the joint agents Briant, Champion, Long here and Savills here it would appear that Ron World is struggling to attract interest despite all of the bluster of the bouffant one.

Still, the brochure is lovely. Download a copy for yourself here

Looking at the details, I assume that the unit nearest the ground will be used as the Megastore & Ticket Office.

UTB!

I see that Tommy Hilfiger are opening a store there, so I look forward to that.

August start date is interesting!

HMV/Jessops/Blockbuster have no bearing on the park, they are shops that wouldnt have shops in out of town developments.

Comet is the only relevant one, and they had a store by Waitrose anyway.

With B&Q out there Id expect Homebase to be interested, plus the likes of Currys/Next etc.

That said, in this economy it wouldnt be at all surprising if none of these stores were looking to expand at the moment and Im sure they are struggling to lease them, however who knows what the economy will look like in 2 years time.
