Wembley tickets

Correct me if I’m wrong, but I presume you have secured your ticket(s) today and therefore we are viewing matters from a different perspective from me? I am also presuming that you’ve not had to pay several hundred pounds in transport costs in order to guarantee to be in the UK next weekend. Apologies if I’m way off track here.
Gotta remember even during the takeover COSU would only release a statement if they had facts and a proper update . Never wanted to release statements that was just waffle and no real update . Unfortunately we’ve just got to be a little bit patient however hard it is

What’s that got to do with the price of bread?

Regardless of my situation I am as disappointed about it all as everyone. I am a Southend United fan and want as many fans in the stadium as possible. I want it to be etched into history that we broke the record for highest attendance for a National League play off final and brought more than Oldham.

My point is purely, what can they say? “We are working with TfL, Wembley, National League and Mayor of London to find a solution” - No ****! I’d expect Tom and the rest of COSU to have been on it as soon as they were told. You really think they want this? It benefits absolutely neither club!

I think it would have been better to just delete the post and send an appropriate DM
Look we do not need to turn on each other or the club when it’s the @TheVanaramaNL primarily and likely others away from the club and fans responsible. So I understand - I suspect Tom and CoSU are absolutely furious that this organisation that tried to put us out business (yes out of business) has spectacularly failed us yet again…
Why? The mods have banned the member for posting his opinion. As far as I’m aware this is a discussion forum and a member shouldn’t be banned for posting an opinion that moderators don’t agree with. This has always happened in the past, if you opinion doesn’t fit you don’t get to have your say.
Only opinions that the majority agree with are welcome on this forum!

Well, after an exausting 11 hour working day all I wanted to see pilling off Charing Cross station on the way home was hundreds of very loud Sunderland supporters going in the opposite direction, bet they didn't have trouble getting tickets, and travelling on the tube!

I'll still give it a go tomorrow & good luck to all the others trying to grab a ticket from far and wide, bad show but it it is what it is & certainly not any fans fault!

Once again, it was not for his opinion. It was after being warned on numerous occasions to stop being abusive towards other members.

Give it a rest or you will join them!

There's still 13 sections showing green on the app. I think it will be fine for most.

I'm sure we'll sell all of our allocation but it would be somewhat embarrassing if we've created all this exposure and we don't actually sell the tickets we've been given.
We will definitely sell our allocation - Season tickets holders will complete tomorrow @ noon and I expect at that point there will still be some green sections, but these will soon disappear as general sale commences. Fingers crossed for all that another allocation is released 🤞

Bear in mind this also would impact on Wembley ability to function as the national stadium- if for any reason that station closes- strike, power cut, signal failure then only 35,000 supporters plus coaches can attend? Imagine an England game? Don’t believe this nonsense at all. The police don’t want the extra policing costs, a man with a beard and a knitted cardigan at the council doesn’t want to change his decision and Brent Council could care less….if anyone believes any of this I have a bridge for sale (and no not that one!)
What would've been the contingency if the station was closed today for some emergency - with 80k sheff and Sunderland supporters there? That's what needs to be implemented. Even if it's "sorry station is shut please use alternative stations/means of transport". They wouldn't be holding them in the stadium whilst the clubs sort out 100 coaches.

I know the point you’re trying to make here but I do think this whole fiasco will and already has put some people off. Even with tickets still available there might be some people that are worried about the overcrowding at the train stations for instance. A problem which wouldn’t exist if this had been planned properly.

It has defo already impacted - I've had people in my group drop out - they won't be back unless something changes before general sale - it will be too late unless half the group don't get tickets tomorrow and then more non coach tickets become available later in the week

Well done to Chiltern railways for stepping up. They are running 17 trains from Marylebone arriving at Wembley Stadium between 12pm and 240pm Sunday week. They only ran 14 during the same period today for the Sunderland game (attendance 87K).

Just how many displaced passengers from Wembley Park are the authorities calculating on using other stations ? I know there are other considerations but I think that would be a good start point for numbers being limited for safety ?

I find it hard to accept their statement you refer to, say's they have worked hard with Wembley stadium, Brent council, Met Police & the Safety Advisory group to discuss the expected predicted attendance .
All this in 2 days ( Thurs & Fri )?.
It’s always the same with these things- as the e pressure builds they peel off. TFL say they are happy they have taken steps to provide the necessary capacity

So now holding the parcel
Brent Council
The Police
Wembley Stadium

As the heat increases one of these will end up with the mess in their laps..

My guess the stadium makes ££ the higher the attendance so the Council & Police may be hiding from us but I suspect not from others
