1: Collymore - Hands down, the most talented player I've seen for us.
2: Eastwood - The second most talented player we've had.
3: Powell - Club legend in his own right.
4: Spinner - See above.
5: Gower - Probably the player with the best "Football Brain" I've seen for us.
6: Scully - Top defender and a top guy to boot.
7: Ansah - See above, apart from the defender part.
8: Tilson - Club legend.
9: Goater - Great player and a true Gent. Him singing "Are you watching Colchester" will live long in the memory.
10: Guttridge - Controversial choice maybe, but apart from Bailey I can't think of a midfielder who had more of an instantaneous impact in the last decade or so. He was also far more talented than most gave him credit for, and if he shirked the attitude he could've achieved much more in his career.

Can you please clarify whether the criteria is people's best players, or their favourite players?

Favourite Players.

I'm glad you asked that because looking at some of the names in the top 10, particularly #1 I thought the world had gone mad again.

Here's my current favourite list best at the top by an ENORMOUS margin

Roy McDonough
Kevin Maher
Paul Clark
Paul Sansome
Spencer Prior (particularly the second spell)
Brett Angell
Chris Powell
Ron Ron, Ron Ron Ron, Ron Ron Ron Ron Pountney
Mark Gower
David Crown

Just outside that list is Anthony Grant - he may well creep in if he sticks around after the transfer window
Managed by David Webb of 1991 Vintage please

I've decided to keep this going until just before Christmas, give everyone plenty of time to post their top 10.

So last day for voting will be Thursday 23rd of Dec. Then I can get it all sorted and post the finail table on Christmas Eve.

Are you mental?

I thought the same. He's certainly *special*.

Anyway, incase this was some kind of hilarious jape, I included his votes in the chart. So if he wants to post a 'real' top 10 it's tough titties, he will forever be remembered as the one who voted for Adam Bouzid & Micheal Ricketts.
