What on earth does Mrs. Ron contribute to consultancy fees?. What scented soap ( if any? ) to be placed in the women's loo's?. Unreal!
I can assure you that the ladies' loo's do not have posh scented soap. Since covid there has been anti bac handwash available but that had run out and not been replaced last Saturday.

Ron may be understandably a bit wary of speculating to accumulate. To some extent the bid for the Championship cost us quite a bit but at least was a bold effort

He may be wary of that again. Some extra costs and a lot of faith BY all parties , =to get this over the line , thats what the culture is supposed to be about

Similar risks now ?

Stans 3 man coaching team , and their contacts, the effervescent Stan the Man himself, add potentially a remarkable Head of recruitment ?

So a bit of extra cost involved, maybe and a lot of faith and Trust, although Stan hinted the additional finances may not be as big as we think. Ron at the back of the bus??? really ??>, Rons got a rather large ego himself. I find it a bit of a stretch to believe he is not in Toms ear a bit right now

But what if the above new combined team produced over a COUPLE of years just 2% of what Brentford unearthed with their model system, in sell on talent. That would be £2.4m

That would comfortably pay for the full new structure , including Stan. and his many player contacts book , Also Has current head of recruitment still stayed on? Salary costs?

How much did Moseley and his vast support team cost?

SVC. Whatever comes out of this will be. Always remember this football club was formed well over 100 years ago. In the the next 25/50/100 years, there will be one name that will never be forgotten: Oh! Stanley Stanley! Stanley Stanley Stanley Stanley Collymore! If you could bottle the joy you gave in 30 games it would be worth an absolute fortune.

To be clear @StanleyVictorCollymore , I'm not advocating you working for free, I'm saying I want you in the club, driving change and when that change happens and the fortunes of the club are turned around I think you or anyone else has the right to ask for a better deal or more responsibility. This is true of pretty much any role in any business in the world.

And to be brutally honest with absolutely no offense intended, I want the best deal for Southend. Not the best deal for everyone. The two things are unfortunately rarely the same thing.

The communication between Stan and the fans from what we have seen recently has been excellent. Don’t forget a football club is only viable with a fan base so communication is key.

Ron has shown recently how he deals with questions from fans. If Ron won’t sell the club then he needs to keep away and not talk if he doesn’t want fans to be hostile towards him.

Getting Stan in would have been the icing on the cake this week, however with how Ron is, you have to play to his Ego and most likely Stan wouldn’t do that.
Ron may own the club but if it wasn’t for Stan this week we would not have appointed the coaches we have so quickly, remember our last appointments.
Why would I pay Stan? But if Ron wants the best for the club as he “fu##ing loves the club” then he will listen to people who know far more than him.
I’m surprised Ron hasn’t been on Talksport this week telling Jim White that he has money for loads of players ready.

For what it’s worth, Tom has to balance the books, and Stan wants a role, somewhere there needs to be a compromise that all parties can agree on that won’t financially cripple us, which I’m 100% certain that Stan wouldn’t want.
I hope that this is just another hurdle that we will get over, because I haven’t seen as much passion and commitment around the club for many a year, but again the club needs Tom to make the right call for the club and not an individual...... I will hope that call includes SVC, my fingers are crossed ?.

Agreed. As someone said earlier, “it’s the hope that kills you” being a Southend fan at the moment.

First Stan makes clear its not Ron involved, it's him and Tom. Stan has been entirely clear and straightforward (and I would rather you read/accept what he has said rather than for me in any way to speak for him).

Second you say miles apart. Again this is at best an exaggeration. What he actually said is "a distance apart"
We will see….I fancy Stan has been had over!

Doesent Stan need to be in the role first to implement the changes? Will they happen if he isn't In the head of football role?

Miles, distance, sounds massive to me after last night’s positive love in.
And if you think Tom is making these decisions without owner Ron’s guidance then you must be pretty naive?
Next week we will see (really hope I’m wrong) but after last night it now looks like Stan has been used and now maybe shi t on, I’d be a little bit worried if this is true Mr Martin…..!
