I feel very strongly about people who live in our country and don't understand our country's history, for example for the second world war Britain fought side by side with its commonwealth allies (eg Australia, NZ, the Caribbean islands) and countries like Poland. In case you are refering to immigrants from the Indian sub-continent, modern day India and Pakistan was still British up to 1947, and yes their troops did fight for Britain. The chances are therefore quite high that the grandparents of immigrants did actually fight for/with the British.

The failure here isn't immigration policy, its education policy.

Typical. How many English people living abroad can speak the language? How many of those living in the sunshine in Spain can speak a word of Spanish, or those who've retired to Provence can speak French?

Immigration started in the 50's & 60's because we needed these people to do the crappy jobs that white people decided were above them and so it is today. Dole scroungers would rather get their handouts while these immigrants who would willingly work 12 hour days, 7 days a week get the abuse.

My girlfriend is a British Asian, her father who has worked harder than all of us all of his life, paid his taxes, gets abuse from morons who read the Sun and believe the crap it prints.

I'm with Custard Splat...I'm ashamed that these people support the team I love, and I would definitely think twice before dragging her down to watch a match if this is the kind of scumbags that have latched onto Southend United.

Custard splat if that really did ruin your day then i dont think you should ever leave your house fella because if everytime i heard something that i didnt like and it ruined my day then every day would be a lost one.
