Bit of a Tammy Wnyette

Tony - as we have often said, the greatest love one can give is to yourself. You have taken the first steps towards this and I sincerely wish you the best in making life kinder on you. I know feck all about the French legal system and what rights you have there or what is the best way of addressing the Tammy option. However, it would seem as though you have tried to resolve it as far as you can and with hope, "the system" will be kind/equitable when it comes to the parting of the ways.

All the best from way out west.

Also just a cautionary note that it's very easy for your (ex)wife and kids to find your profile/posts on here. I can understand wanting to use SZ to seek advice, but get your internet/profile secure so they can't stumble upon posts you might not want them to see. especially your kids.

First things first Tone, get your health sorted. You're no use to anyone let alone yourself if you're kaput.
Next, write a list - everything that needs sorting for you and the kids. Your kids are I believe old enough to understand what's going on and they need to see you as well on your terms.
Living arrangements: how permanent are they? who can help? you need to get something sorted.
Legal: you will need a French lawyer I think, see http://www.connexionfrance.com/gett...rce-legal-proceedings-10932-news-article.html
Email: you can change the password but I wouldnt advice it. Keep civil - get a new one. gmail is excellent and easy to set up. Or, one thing I do more - is twitter - using direct messaging as an email replacement.

Hope it goes well - you've made me laugh more than anyone else over the time I've known you - please keep the pecker up.

Tony - just looking at Naps' link, where did you get married - in France or GB?

"One case where the French courts can be of no help at all is that of a British civil partnership: only the courts of the country where the couple were partnered, can dissolve their bond."
