Hmm, Pretty varied mix there.

Not as many as I thought. But many of the older artists rather than collect all their albums or try and pick the best i've copped out and got Best ofs - U2, Queen, Police, Beach Boys & Stone Roses.

Perhaps it's time to start the SZ vote.....

Well, after a recount, the jury says 23. Perhaps most worrying of all is that after my tirade against Dido, I got home... and found her album nestling in my CD rack.  The shame, the shame.

Plenty of albums to catch up on.  Big sis has:

NIRVANA - Nevermind
MADONNA - Like a Prayer
DAVID BOWIE -The Rise and Fall of Ziggy Stardust and the Spiders from Mars
PRINCE - Sign 'o' the Times
PULP - Different Class
DE LA SOUL - 3 Feet High and Rising
RED HOT CHILI PEPPERS - Blood Sugar Sex Magik
BECK - Odelay

I'd be tempted to "borrow" all but the last two of those (never liked either of 'em, alas).

In addition, the following 4 may have to be purchased soon...

BOB MARLEY AND THE WAILERS - Exodus
OUTKAST - Speakerboxxx/The Love Below
THE SPECIALS - Specials
THE STREETS - A Grand Don't Come for Free

Marvellous.

Matt

P.S. Final spoddy question - how many of the above do people have on vinyl? I weigh in with a measly one (Stevie).

Matt

Outkast is blinding. I also have their other albums if you want to borrow them. I can bring De La Soul and the Streets along on the 13th.

Cheers Naps. I may splash out and buy them, as it happens; but I'll keep you posted!

Matt

Nirvana's MTV unplugged album is miles better than any of their other albums.

I will never forgive Nirvana for killing my baggy dream just as I moved to Manchester in 1991.

Alas the only vinyl I have is old school hip hop (EPMD, early Pharcyde, etc) and ian Dury bits and pieces

oh and Matt- yeah, let us know!

Disappointing to see Robbie Williams in there, no matter how good an entertainer he is, yet again, I can't see how they can call his music classic..  No Sly and The Family Stone either. Pah

You've got to love those bargain buys... I'm sure I picked up "What's Goin' On" for only a fiver... still a legendary album, that.

As a household, (me, parents, brother) have got the above (18 are mine). More than I thought. A couple of glaring ommisions from my collection however. The Strokes, Happy Mondays to name but a few.

Never really got into the De la Soul album. Will have to dig it out. And the Dido album is definetly not mine!

I also own many best of's such as R.E.M, Guns N Roses, U2, Queen, The Verve, Police.
