no more than 4,000 on the day then, not great:blush:

Not many of the other FA Cup 1st round crowds will be higher than 4,000 this year..

Our previous recent FA Cup 1st round home crowds have been
Stockport 3,084
Preston 4,537 (replay)
Macclesfield 2,194 (replay)
Telford 4,415 (replay)
Rochdale 5,180

We do like playing a team from the North West in the FA Cup 1st round don't we!

One of my favourite matches of all time was against Southend, back in 1985 at our old ground, we won 5-1 and our best ever striker scored a hat trick against you the day he joined on loan from Everton - Stuart Rimmer :Worthy:

I remember that result. We were near the bottom of Division Four that season and averaged home crowds of 1,800. People who moan now should realise that things were much worse in those days!

Here we go then, just heading off to the station to start the long journey down. Here's to a good match no matter what, will catch up on here tomorrow.

Ali ali ali ohhhhh!

"Some of the crowds today will be embarrassing."

You mean - wearing flares?
