Margate or Wealdstone away would be nice. These were the 2 clubs I was taken to watch before my 1st trip to Roots Hall.
Margate were in the Southern League and Wealdstone were at that time in the Isthmian League. I am going back to 1961 !

Local NL team, Billericay, Braintree, Ebbsfleet, or perhaps Dartford. Home or Away, then a home draw against a struggling League 2 side (Colchester perhaps...)

Then I would love a home tie against Liverpool ! I can still remember that match at a snowbound Roots Hall in January 1979. Turning up an hour before KO, getting a great position standing at the front of the West stand with my Dad. Incredible to do it again!!

Forest Green Rovers away please. It is well tucked away but as I have been there I will probably be the only one who finds it. We will get spanked of course.

Their ground must be one of the best in the Country (at their level). Mind you, they do play at the same level as Bowers & Pitsea and Brightlingsea Regent !

And what a club they are!:thumbsup::thumbsup:

I saw Bowers and Pitsea @ Thurrock on Saturday - their number 10 scored two terrific free kicks!

Assuming you saw Wealdstone at Lower Mead, that's now a Tesco

Now playing in Ruislip - handily close to a tube station at least.

I saw Bowers and Pitsea v Maldon on Tuesday - the opposing number 10 scored with a terrific free kick!

Wealdstone at Lower Mead most definitely. I have promised myself I will go to their new ground in the not too far distant future. The last time I went to see them was when Southend played them in the F.A.Cup and that was at Lower Mead. I may well be wrong but did Stuart Pearce not play against us that day ? Sadly my Grandfather was not alive then to see the game.

His name is in the team listed in the programme, so probably !

I went to Wealdstone in the cup - Harrow & Wealdstone FC as they were then.
Trouble outside a pub and then some nasty local lads (Watford fans I suspect) waded in on the terraces. We were badly outnumbered that day.

Sharing that one with you Kev, John Walker gets the winner in a 1-0 and we spend the rest of the game and journey back ducking from Bloody Watford fans.

The station is Harrow & Wealdstone, the football club is and was Wealdstone.
